OBJECTIVES
The main purpose of this fieldwork
was to get practical experience of
rural life and understand village
dynamics through close interaction
with its people and institutions.
The objectives of the study are:

• Total land holding of the village is 338 bigha
• Agriculture,Agri Labour and Wage Labour are the sources of
income
• Diesel Pump set is the only source of Irrigation
• With Paddy and Wheat Farmer grows seasonal vegetables.

Pareto Analysis
• To use Pareto Analysis, identify and list problems and their
causes.
• It is also known as 80/20 Rule.
• It is invented by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto.

With the help of Pareto analysis we got one important result.
• 80% of the land is covered by 38 households out of 110
households in the village

Agriculture Survey
• We have completed the agriculture survey with the structured
Questionnaire.
• The farmers of the village grows crops mainly in two seasons
i.e. Kharif(June-Sept) & Rabi(Oct- Feb)
• 9 Farmers grows vegetables in village.

Land Preparation
• Farmer use tractor for the land preparation in all the seasons.
• Harrow,Cultivator,Rotavator ,etc.
• Farmers have to pay 450 Rs/Bigha for land preparation.

Kharif Season
• Main Crop of the Kharif Season is Paddy.
• On 244 bigha paddy crop is cultivated.
• Expenses on seeds in this season Rs.60540.
• Total o/p of Kharif Crops is 701(Qt.)
• Self Consumption 400(Qt.)
• Overall expenses on Kharif crops is Rs.8,82,260.

Rabi Season
• Main Crop of the Rabi season is Wheat.
• On 261 bigha wheat crop is cultivated.
• Expenses on the seeds in this season Rs.68940.
• Total o/p of Rabi Crop is 829(Qt.)
• Self Consumption 412(Qt.)
• Overall expenses on Rabi Crop is Rs.8,27,680.

Findings & Key Facts
• Expenses on Land preparation and Chemicals in both the
seasons is near about same.
• Expenses on sowing of Kharif season Crop is too high as
compare to Rabi
• Profit is good in Vegetables as Compare to Paddy & Wheat.
• But Vegetable growing Farmers are very less.
• Only Three farmers grows vegetables in Summer season

• Reason behind that farmer have to spend more money on
irrigation for vegetables.
• All the three farmers who grows vegetables in summer season
are in good profit.
• If farmers of the village will get any other source of irrigation
then they can increase their income.

Recommendations
Solar Water Pump
• Irrigation is base of the economy
in our country.
• But due to unavailability of basic
means electricity, fueling system it
is cumbersome job for farmers.
• To overcome that problem solar
water pump is the best option.
