VILLAGE AT A GLANCE
• Village Name:
Tahatajpur
• Gram Panchayat:
GopalpurNagariya
• Block:
Bithri Chainpur
• Police Station:
Bithri Chainpur
• Post Office:
Padarathpur
• District:
Bareilly
• State:
Uttar Pradesh
4
Contd.
• Total land holding of the village is 338 bigha
• Agriculture,Agri Labour and Wage Labour are the sources of
income
• Diesel Pump set is the only source of Irrigation
• With Paddy and Wheat Farmer grows seasonal vegetables.
5
Pareto Analysis
• To use Pareto Analysis, identify and list problems and their
causes.
• It is also known as 80/20 Rule.
• It is invented by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto.
6
Contd.
With the help of Pareto analysis we got one important result.
• 80% of the land is covered by 38 households out of 110
households in the village
7
Agriculture Survey
• We have completed the agriculture survey with the structured
Questionnaire.
• The farmers of the village grows crops mainly in two seasons
i.e. Kharif(June-Sept) & Rabi(Oct- Feb)
• 9 Farmers grows vegetables in village.
8
Land Preparation
• Farmer use tractor for the land preparation in all the seasons.
• Harrow,Cultivator,Rotavator ,etc.
• Farmers have to pay 450 Rs/Bigha for land preparation.
9
Kharif Season
• Main Crop of the Kharif Season is Paddy.
• On 244 bigha paddy crop is cultivated.
• Expenses on seeds in this season Rs.60540.
• Total o/p of Kharif Crops is 701(Qt.)
• Self Consumption 400(Qt.)
• Overall expenses on Kharif crops is Rs.8,82,260.

Findings & Key Facts
• Expenses on Land preparation and Chemicals in both the
seasons is near about same.
• Expenses on sowing of Kharif season Crop is too high as
compare to Rabi
• Profit is good in Vegetables as Compare to Paddy & Wheat.
• But Vegetable growing Farmers are very less.
• Only Three farmers grows vegetables in Summer season
14
Contd.
• Reason behind that farmer have to spend more money on
irrigation for vegetables.
• All the three farmers who grows vegetables in summer season
are in good profit.
• If farmers of the village will get any other source of irrigation
then they can increase their income.
15
Recommendations
Solar Water Pump
• Irrigation is base of the economy
in our country.
• But due to unavailability of basic
means electricity, fueling system it
is cumbersome job for farmers.
• To overcome that problem solar
water pump is the best option.
16
Why Solar water Pump?
• Affordable Price
• Low Maintenance Cost
• Low Installation cost
• Horticulture, Farming, Gardening & Various domestic uses
17
Other Benefits
Cost
• No Fuel Cost.
• Saving on current diesel & power.
Operation & Maintenanace
• Long Operating life of pumps.
• Highly reliable, durable and easy to operate and maintain.
18
Contd.
Heatlth & Environment
• Reduction in air pollution due to diesel combustion.
• Reduction in greenhouse gas emmisions
• Reducing in noise decibles
Society
• Generation of local employment in villages due to higher
productivity
• Prevention of migration of villagers to urban areas
• Economic development of farmer
19
Mushroom Cultivation
Introduction
• There are hundreds of identified species of fungi found in the
world.
• Mushroom Cultivation have now become popular all over the
world.
• Mushroom cultivation can help reduce vulnerability to poverty
• Mushroom cultivation can directly improve livelihoods throuh
economic, nutritional & medicinal contributions.
20
