A project on the changing nature of workHarrisonObi1
This is a project piece based on the changing nature of work that highlights the possible intervention measures by the government to develop human capital in Nigeria.
My target audience is the Nigerian government and lawmakers highlighting ways in which human capital can be developed in the country. These include building better and reliable infrastructures in the country. There is poor road network around the states, epileptic energy supply, poor health centres to mention a few. These sectors and facilities need to be put in place to promote and sustain human capital investments in the country.
Also, rigorous awareness programs need to be developed to ensure no one is left out most especially in rural areas and villages.

Empowering the Future: Best Education, Social Welfare, and Gender Equality
Introduction:
Education is the cornerstone of a prosperous society. It not only shapes the future of individuals but also has a profound impact on the collective progress of communities and nations. Empowering children with proper education, focusing on job-oriented academic programs, and extending support to marginalized women are pivotal steps towards building a more inclusive and equitable society. In this blog, we delve into the importance of these initiatives and their role in fostering social welfare and sustainable development.
Empowering Children Through Education: Education is the most powerful tool for empowering children and breaking the cycle of poverty. Access to quality education equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society. However, ensuring universal access to education remains a significant challenge, particularly in underserved communities and rural areas.
To address this challenge, governments, non-profit organizations, and communities must work together to:
Improve Infrastructure:
Building schools and ensuring access to essential facilities such as clean water, sanitation, and electricity is crucial for creating conducive learning environments. Investing in infrastructure enhances the overall educational experience and encourages greater participation from children, especially girls, who may face additional barriers to accessing education.
Enhance Teacher Training:
Teachers play a central role in shaping the educational experience of students. Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for teachers helps improve the quality of instruction and fosters innovation in teaching methods. Additionally, recruiting teachers from diverse backgrounds can enrich the learning experience by promoting inclusivity and cultural awareness.
Promote STEM Education:
In today’s rapidly evolving world, proficiency in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is increasingly important for future employment opportunities. Introducing STEM education from an early age and providing hands-on learning experiences can ignite curiosity and prepare children for careers in emerging fields.
Working Towards Social Welfare: Education is not just about academic achievement; it also plays a crucial role in promoting social welfare and fostering a sense of community responsibility. By instilling values such as empathy, compassion, and civic engagement, education empowers individuals to become active participants in addressing social issues and driving positive change.
Key strategies for promoting social welfare through education include:
Civic Education: Incorporating civic education into the curriculum helps students develop an understanding of democratic principles, human rights, and civic responsibilities. By encouraging critical thinking and informed decision-makin

AREAS WITH BIGGEST IMPACT ON REDUCING POVERTY IN KENYA - PAUL IRUNA
1. AREAS WITH THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON REDUCING POVERTY IN KENYA
First I thank the World Bank and international partners on the ongoing progress in poverty reduction.
Kenya is a brilliant and innovative country, I believe a million ideas and talents a still with the people,
investing in areas with long term solutions will help replenish the ideas into productive gains and
sustainability. Kenya being a key country in Africa with strong institutions and development programs
can be better placed as to achieve its vision.
One area is knowledge transfer and well-structured knowledge exchange program can impact heavily on
reduction of poverty. This will cut across all levels in development and enhance technology transfer. This
contributes to social, cultural and diversity benefits to communities. We thank Food and Agriculture
Organization through their program on African youths in allowing better sharing of knowledge and
developments solutions. This will boost equal opportunities in agriculture sector, help address
inefficiencies in all sectors, empower communities through introduction of technology hence efficient
management of resources, and environmental benefits.
Second area is job creation, adequate and sustainable jobs. This can be done through re-orientation and
structuring existing programs effectively to better align them with each un-employment type. Investing
on the demand side through growth of employers in sectors like manufacturing, business and firms that
will create demand of workers. Introduction of new programs like entrepreneurship programs, training-
to-employment programs, apprenticeship and experience programs with components of post-
placement to address and equip youths with necessary work related skills, information on market needs,
work experience and access to work opportunities. Commit to hiring and training of youths through
volunteer ship and training programs to act as temporary work and creation of a service by inclusion in
the organizations and society through extension programs and recreational activities to impact
discipline, leadership and to foster a sense of belonging in the society.
Third area is Human Capital Development through fostering quality education and introduction of
vocational education to deliver the skills needed in current economy and incubate more potential
workforce. Expansion of education to equip young ones with necessary skills, Thanks to the Tusome
early Literacy program. Constant training of teachers to align them with current issues hence addresses
technology and leadership shortage. Expatriates to train locals in various development projects and
empower communities to invest in productive activities.
Forth area is Provision of social amenities through the element of social responsibility to address the
deficit in societies. Restructuring the national safety net program to make it more efficient, improving
access to sustainable livelihood. Provision of universal access to social services like health centers,
schools, clean water, proper sanitation, electricity through upgrading infrastructure, Improving
livelihood of slums and more opportunities to slum dwellers. Expanding beyond zero campaign to
address more than infant mortality and making it more universal hence make it easier to access.
What is more important is Kenyan’s should be disciplined and learn to respect.
