Andalucia:
The Archaeological Set of Italic shows a Roman
amphitheatre and gives the possibility of walking
along its streets, as well as the houses, public buildings,
objects of art and utensils of the daily life used by his
inhabitants.
The Archaeological Set of Carmona shows an
important sector of the Roman Necropolis, other
testimonies of the urban activity, as the quarries of
extraction of ashlars for the construction, the potters
and the Amphitheatre dedicated to public spectacles.
 Medina Azahara- Castilianization of the name
in Arabic (' the shining city ')
 The main motives for its construction are of a political-
ideological nature: the dignity of caliph requires the
foundation of a new city, symbol of its power, and above all,
to show its superiority over its great enemies.
 Popular culture also says that it was built as a tribute to the
caliph's favorite woman: Azahara.
