The T-Systems Solution provides a fully integrated framework for file conversions within Aras Innovator. It allows users to easily setup, administer, manage and monitor conversions. The framework automatically converts files like documents to PDF upon check-in to Aras and attaches the converted files to the relevant items. Administrators can easily create new conversion jobs and monitor conversion logs within Aras Innovator. The solution improves access to files for all users and eliminates the need for companies to create their own conversion capabilities.

the leading open enterprise PLM solution Aras Innovator.
T-Systems provides a fully integrated framework to easily setup, administrate, manage and monitor file
conversions within Aras Innovator
Within this framework you are able to:
- Setup new batch conversions like file conversions, data checking routines, ...
- Convert / check files within Aras Innovator and automatically attach converted or checked files to your

Current situation
Aras Innovator is a framework with existing solutions for Document Management and CAD File
Management.
There are many ready-to-use and customer-specific integrations for Microsoft Office and several CAD
Systems, but there is no standard capability to convert files within Aras Innovator.
All process dependent users, such as sales, manufacturing, project managers need expensive
software and licenses to access CAD, MS Word, MS Project and other files.
Each company using Aras Innovator must create its own solution for file conversions.

All process dependent users are enabled to view data managed by Aras Innovator using cheap or free
viewing software, such as:
 Acrobat Reader (all files like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, CAD Drawings)
 JT2Go (Siemens PLM *.jt files)
 3D xml Viewer (Dassault Systemes *.3dxml files)
You can integrate your own custom conversion or file handling (e.g. doc => pdf, ppt => pdf, CATPart
=> 3dxml, cad checker).
The Aras Innovator administrator can set up new jobs very easily within a few minutes and can review,
reset and monitor all jobs within Aras Innovator.
