1. April 2016
Message from Greg Aden
2016 President
As we enter the beautiful month of April with
a quarter of 2016 behind us, we now look
into Spring and wonder, "Am I am on target?
Are my targets, objectives and goals still
realistic?"
Please know I am asking myself these very
questions regarding ICF-CO and Aden
Leadership. We must check to evaluate and
to continue to hold ourselves accountable to
actions and commitments. We are in serve
mode and growth mode all the time as
coaches and consultants. That is our very nature. At ICF-CO, we
have a strong team and a great group of volunteers to assist the
Leadership Team; however, more hands are wanted and needed to
push through where we sit today. We will address our plan in more
detail at the beginning of April’s meeting.
The Fall Conference, "Ignite Change Now!" is really taking shape
with three quality keynote speakers identified and workshop
speakers and facilitators continuing to submit proposals to serve this
year. Registration will open soon with deep discounts available to
early bird registrants!! Please be on the look out and begin to
consider who you will invite and which client(s) you may sponsor to
attend! What a powerful gift that will be!!
The Leadership Team with help from active members will also be
creating additional educational and growth experiences throughout
the year. I encourage you to consider how you might serve the
Chapter in some way be it a virtual webinar or teleseminar. Please
contact jfedo@coaching410.com as soon as possible.
Regarding growth: There are 220+ ICF-Global members who are
affiliated with our Colorado chapter by election but haven’t engaged
much with us nor have we with them up until now. I intend to
actively pursue each of them AND add them to our membership in

2. some form or fashion by summer's end. This will include, but is not
limited to, some satellite meetings outside of Denver and provide
additional ways to engage outside of traditional monthly meetings. I
hear from our existing membership and those sitting on the
sidelines that the value of ICF Global and ICF Colorado comes in
many forms, and they would like us to communicate those values as
clearly as possible.
We will have a July meeting. The location is yet to be decided;
however, we would like to do something a bit different and welcome
in those outside of our traditional membership. More on the July
meeting as details become more clear. We will also be
communicating with NSA and ATD for another joint evening meeting
with them at some point in August.
As mentioned in February, the Leadership Team is clear on many
topics on how we wish to serve ICF-CO and its members. We ask
that you communicate what you want and need most from us, and
how we may support you throughout 2016 and beyond.

3. There are lots of ways to get involved on a 1:1 basis, presentation,
serving or leading capacity.
Open Director Positions: Estimated Time Involvement: 10-14
hours per month, including the Monthly and Leadership Team
Meetings. Click here for more detailed information. If you would like
to be considered for any of these positions, please send an email
directly to Greg Aden (greg@adenleadership.com).
Current ICF-CO Board Leadership Team Opportunities:
Communication Co-Director - Jacquie Fedo is seeking a Co-Director
who has an interest or experience in driving online and social media
presence who will bring forth new ideas and has a desire to
collaborate regarding member engagement. The Co-Directors will
partner closely with the Membership & Marketing/PR Directors,
providing significant support to promoting the ICF-CO Fall
Conference.
Marketing/PR Director - Mark Entrekin is stepping down from this
position, and we are looking for an individual who has a desire to
focus on creating key ICF-CO Partnerships with strategic
organizations and willing to act as an ICF-CO Ambassador within our
community. This director is charged with the external
communications by creating public awareness of coaching and
ICF-CO using multi-media outlets, such as business journals,
newspapers, television, press releases and social media. This
Director will provide significant support to securing sponsors for the
ICF-CO Fall Conference.
Membership Director - Walt Hastings is stepping down from this
position, and we are looking for someone willing to carry on the
great work already started. There is a team in place already working
on supporting many aspects of this role to include greeting
members each month, providing our meals, highlighting guests and
new members each month and creating visibility to the credentialing
learning opportunities and accomplishments. Additionally, we would
like this individual to focus on member enrollment as there are over
600+ coaches within Colorado that are part of ICF Global.
Education Director - Orvel Ray has stepped down from this
position, and we are looking for an individual who is willing to take
the lead on identifying dynamic monthly speakers for our monthly
meetings who will grow our core competencies. This Director is
chartered with planning, organizing and facilitating the ICF-CO’s
educational programs and we want someone interested in creating
and developing our virtual educational offering. This could be a
Co-Director opportunity to include the educational programming
related to our Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Both positions would
lend their support regarding the ICF-CO Fall Conference.
Monthly SIG Presenters - Do you have a particular skill or
practice you offer to clients that contributes to their breakthroughs
and success, or something unique that you do in your coaching
business that makes you successful? We invite you to share your
expertise, skill or practice with your ICF-COmmunity via one of our

Aden at greg@adenleadership.com.

ability to turn ideas into identifiable behavior change toward an
agreed upon vision. You’ll discover how to turn everyday coaching
moments into life changing learning opportunities for individuals,
work teams, or even your kids. Essentially, you’ll learn how to move
your most important relationships to fundamentally shift their
paradigms and ultimately change their behavior.
You will learn how to:
Overcome one of the greatest challenges faced by coaches.
Identifying the fundamental 2-step equation that produces learning.
Build outcome objectives that matter.
7. Applying the 3 BIG questions of learning.
Use the RAMP model of Internal motivation to enhance your client
experience.
Implement the 4 simple steps of IMPART’s New Learning Paradigm
to take platitudes and turn them into actionable behavior.

FREE to ICF-CO Professional Members and Affiliates.
Our first book club meeting was an overall success. There was some
discussion about what kind of format we’d like to create for future
meetings in order for everyone to create the most value from the
experience. Brian Whetten, author of the book, “Yes, Yes, HELL
NO!” joined us for the February call. The feedback I received about
the conversation has been overwhelmingly very positive.
We’re considering these titles for our next book club meeting:
Steve Chandler’s "The Prosperous Coach"
and
Susan Scott’s "Fierce Conversations."
