February 2014
IN THIS ISSUE:
Message from Stephanie Wachman
President, ICF Colorado
2014 is off to a great start! I realized that I
never formally introduced myself since coming
in as chapter president.
I am originally from Montreal, Quebec and
moved to Colorado over 15 years ago. I
received my BA from McGill University and
worked for over 18 years in business
development, sales, sales training and
marketing. My passion has always been in
helping business leaders and high potential
professionals achieve more. I began coaching 4
years ago with a focus on Executive Coaching and Productivity
Training and received certification from CTA. I am also currently
enrolled in Judy Sabah’s ICF Certification Class. I have been married
to my wonderful husband David for 15 years, and we have two
boys, ages 9 & 13 (a teenager YIKES!). We love to ski, hike and
watch football.
My vision for ICF Colorado is to bring as much opportunity,
education, networking, business guidance, community outreach and
great positive, fun energy to our chapter as we can handle. The
motto for the year is let's "try it;" if we succeed, GREAT! If we fail,
GREAT! Let's just take chances and stretch ourselves to the benefit
of our chapter.
Our board is incredible and working hard to bring this vision to light.
We are currently planning a one-day conference, international
coaching week and the development of a new website.
ICF Colorado offers some great resources, including a Facebook
Page and LinkedIn Group.
Lastly, I want remind everyone that ICF Global has amazing

Speaking of Peers, ICF Colorado will be launching a Peer Advisory
group to support our members in leveraging their business and
coaching experience with other coaches representing different
niches and backgrounds. These small groups will be made up of new
coaches and senior coaches. We will dive into real business issues
and help you get real results. Each group will have 8-10 coaches. If
you are interested in facilitating a group or getting more
information, please email me at stephanie@coachinglib.com. Note:
Participation in these groups will be fee based.
As always, the success of our chapter is dependent on your support,
so please volunteer, bring a fellow coach to one of our meetings,

We are thrilled to welcome new members to our chapter:

Advance Your Practice
allows you to truly empathize and support others in their
transformations.

and Career with
LinkedIn Discussions

In this program, we will explore how to identify and address your
self-care needs using the 4 Gateways coaching model. 4 Gateways
is a powerful, experiential process for addressing an enormous
range of issues. Through the 4 wisdom gateways, you and your
clients step out of conditioned ways of seeing and view any issue
with fresh perspectives, aligned with purpose, engaged with
passion, and directed by right use of power. Through the process
both we and our clients can transform our inner lives, our
relationships, and our world.

ICF Colorado extends
outside just the monthly
meetings. You might not be
connected with the very
valuable ICF Colorado
LinkedIn group.

Attendees will learn to take clients through specific, proven
processes that shift viewpoint and experience, and open the door to
resolving almost any personal or professional issue. For attendees,
what they learn during this talk will give them additional coaching
tools that can make the work they do with their clients more
powerful and effective. The 4 Gateways inquiry process makes life
easier for coaches, as they quickly transition clients from struggle to
solution-based processing..

Membership in the ICF Colorado
Hello! If you are reading this, you are either a member of ICF CO or you are curious about ICF CO!
We have been attracting a lot of new and wonderful members lately, so I have been asked many
questions about why they should join. They ask me why I joined and what is my benefit. I would
like to share:
First is community; this organization provides a wonderful group of people that I call friends and
colleagues.
The second is connection; we spend so much time solo as coaches and consultants that connecting
is crucial to inspire us and bring out new ideas.
The third is potential; when I meet the amazing people that come to the meetings, there is always
potential for new learning and sometimes partnership on new business ideas. I have made some
wonderful connections at the meetings.
The fourth is learning; we have had some excellent speakers. EVERY meeting I learn
something I can use as a leadership and executive coach.
OK, if you have not signed up already, what are you waiting for??
The ICF CO is growing, and we want you to be a part of this exciting time in our history! Whether
you are a member or not, please join us at our next meeting. Please introduce yourself to me, the
membership director. I want to meet you and learn about the amazing person YOU are.

Why Join ICF Colorado?
* A community of individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of their clients.

February 2014 ICF Colorado Newsletter

  • 1. ICF Colorado Newsletter February 2014 IN THIS ISSUE: Message from Stephanie Wachman President, ICF Colorado 2014 is off to a great start! I realized that I never formally introduced myself since coming in as chapter president. I am originally from Montreal, Quebec and moved to Colorado over 15 years ago. I received my BA from McGill University and worked for over 18 years in business development, sales, sales training and marketing. My passion has always been in helping business leaders and high potential professionals achieve more. I began coaching 4 years ago with a focus on Executive Coaching and Productivity Training and received certification from CTA. I am also currently enrolled in Judy Sabah’s ICF Certification Class. I have been married to my wonderful husband David for 15 years, and we have two boys, ages 9 & 13 (a teenager YIKES!). We love to ski, hike and watch football. My vision for ICF Colorado is to bring as much opportunity, education, networking, business guidance, community outreach and great positive, fun energy to our chapter as we can handle. The motto for the year is let's "try it;" if we succeed, GREAT! If we fail, GREAT! Let's just take chances and stretch ourselves to the benefit of our chapter. Our board is incredible and working hard to bring this vision to light. We are currently planning a one-day conference, international coaching week and the development of a new website. ICF Colorado offers some great resources, including a Facebook Page and LinkedIn Group. Lastly, I want remind everyone that ICF Global has amazing President's Message February 2014 Monthly Meeting Special Interest Groups (SIGs) IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Find out more about our members ARTICLES: Learn about specific topics related to coaching Membership General Meeting Information ICF Colorado Meetup Groups Our ICF Colorado Meetup Groups are an opportunity for our community to continue conversations and keep communications going in-between our monthly meetings. Also offered through ICF Global are a Career Center and Reciprocal Peer Coaching Program. Speaking of Peers, ICF Colorado will be launching a Peer Advisory group to support our members in leveraging their business and coaching experience with other coaches representing different niches and backgrounds. These small groups will be made up of new coaches and senior coaches. We will dive into real business issues and help you get real results. Each group will have 8-10 coaches. If you are interested in facilitating a group or getting more information, please email me at stephanie@coachinglib.com. Note: Participation in these groups will be fee based. As always, the success of our chapter is dependent on your support, so please volunteer, bring a fellow coach to one of our meetings, mentor a new member, and enjoy all the programming that we have to offer. We are thrilled to welcome new members to our chapter: Greg Aden and Patricia Landaker! (We will be welcoming more new members in future newsletters). See you in February! Through the 4 wisdom gateways, you and your clients step out of conditioned ways of seeing and view any issue with fresh perspectives, aligned with purpose, engaged with passion, and directed by right use of power. Through the process both we and our clients can transform our inner lives, our relationships, and our world. ICF Colorado extends outside just the monthly meetings. You might not be connected with the very valuable ICF Colorado LinkedIn group. Attendees will learn to take clients through specific, proven processes that shift viewpoint and experience, and open the door to resolving almost any personal or professional issue. For attendees, what they learn during this talk will give them additional coaching tools that can make the work they do with their clients more powerful and effective. The 4 Gateways inquiry process makes life easier for coaches, as they quickly transition clients from struggle to solution-based processing.. About Tom Daly Tom Daly is a nationally respected leadership coach, teacher, coach trainer, and holistic healer. Tom has devoted his life to exploring and communicating the language of the heart and soul through exploring deep inner spaces. Over the past 35 years, Tom has taken thousands of people through the transition from psychological and emotional conditioning to the freedom of self-knowledge, inner peace and effective living. His workshops and retreats have a crisp intensity that integrates inner work with outer results. In the late 1980s Tom and his wife and partner, Jude Blitz, co-created the Living Arts Foundation, an organization dedicated to the awakening of consciousness and well-being by using practical tools to help integrate the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual worlds. We have been attracting a lot of new and wonderful members lately, so I have been asked many questions about why they should join. They ask me why I joined and what is my benefit. I would like to share: First is community; this organization provides a wonderful group of people that I call friends and colleagues. The second is connection; we spend so much time solo as coaches and consultants that connecting is crucial to inspire us and bring out new ideas. The third is potential; when I meet the amazing people that come to the meetings, there is always potential for new learning and sometimes partnership on new business ideas. I have made some wonderful connections at the meetings. The fourth is learning; we have had some excellent speakers. EVERY meeting I learn something I can use as a leadership and executive coach. OK, if you have not signed up already, what are you waiting for?? The ICF CO is growing, and we want you to be a part of this exciting time in our history! Whether you are a member or not, please join us at our next meeting. Please introduce yourself to me, the membership director. I want to meet you and learn about the amazing person YOU are. Why Join ICF Colorado? * A community of individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of their clients. * Connect with other coaches. * Become engaged in the work of learning together and creating a strong community. * Receive valuable training each month that you can directly apply to your life or work with clients.
