3. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CENTER
• Found in 2015
• 37 staff members, 25 researchers
• Research areas:
- Communication technology: wireless communications systems,
telecommunication systems, transmission network
- Information technology: OSS/BSS system, Big Data, data center
- Future Internet: Internet of Things, Network virtualization and
network function virtualization, SDN/NFV, cloud networking
- Service platforms for future networks: service delivery platforms for
all-IP network, service platform for IoT, M2M

4. MOBIFONES ISSUES
• 4G-LTE commercial services
- Started one year trial services in October 2015
- Officially awarded a license to provide 4G services in October 2016
• Introduction of own Data Center
- Building a own Data Center in near future
- Planning to provide IDC products and services

5. ISSUES WITH THE COMMERCIAL 4G LTE
• The CS fallback is used at the beginning of the commercialization
• How and when 4G voice service VoLTE should be introduced
• Voice service beside VoLTE:
- Voice over Wi-Fi
- Voice over FTTH
• Requirements for introduction of IMS:
- Maximization of sharing IMS for 4G/Wi-Fi/FTTH
- Flexible capacity expansion at the small start

9. ANTI-DISASTER FUNCTIONS OF vIMS
• Capacity setup as follow:
- Hanoi: Necessary capacity = L, Back up capacity = l
- Da Nang: Necessary capacity = M, Back up capacity = m
- HCMC: Necessary capacity = N, Back up capacity = n
- l = (M+N-L)/2, m = (L+N-M)/2, n = (M+L-N)/2
• Backup servers have capacity as half of main servers
