Steve Wozniak
➢ Apple is engaged in designing manufacturing, marketing
mobile communication, media devices, personal computers and
portable digital music players
➢ The company’s products and service include I-phone, I-pad,
Mac, I-pod, Apple TV
➢In 2007 I-phone was released as a mobile, an I-pod and an
internet device

phone which includes ‘’Siri” a voice assistant technology
➢Apple sold 4 million I-phone 4s in the first 3 days after its
released
INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT
➢The strategic capabilities of the I-
phone are primarily that Apple has the
technology and money to develop up to
date with the current demand trends and
competitors
➢Also Apple actually now dictate when
the new technology will be available and
other structures simply follow
➢Some strategic resources are
Applications, news, games, jailbreak
tutorials, accessories, reviews
SWOT ANALYSIS
➢STRENGTHS:
➢Innovative. Large number of functions. (All in one device)
➢Can work with all apple devices (e.g i-tunes)
➢Its’ screen one of the brightest and scratch resistant in the
market
➢One of the best qualities in the market
➢WEAKNESSES:
➢Does not provide free applications
➢Does not target business people
➢Price very high (not all people can afford it.)
➢Touch screen suffers from a problem called “gorilla arm”
(Long term use becomes uncomfortable)
SWOT ANALYSIS
➢OPPORTUNITIES:
There is quite a demand for a better mobile computing experience.
The I-Phone tries to combine both computing and as well as
entertainment into one system. People have also noted that the Mac
OS applications for desktop can be seamlessly adapted for the I-
Phone. Also, this is the first step towards an internet protocol
based network. The emergence of Wi-Fi networks is pushing for
there to be visitor fees instead of having a provider lock in users
➢THREATS:
The majority of threats come from other companies including
Nokia, Sony and Google with their respective products. Smart
phones are one popular example that stands to compete against the
I-Phone. Although the economy is no longer in its volatile stages,
the release of the I-Phone is still in a time where people are
cautious of spending their money
