appengine ja night #24 Google Cloud Endpoints and BigQuery (English)Ryo Yamasaki
Google Cloud Endpoints make it easy to use App Engine as a backend for client applications by generating client libraries for Android, iOS, and JavaScript. The document discusses how to develop APIs with Endpoints by annotating Java methods, testing APIs with the API Explorer, generating client libraries, and using the libraries to call APIs from client applications. Key annotations like @Api, @ApiMethod, and @Named are explained.

The document discusses using Google Cloud Endpoints to build a backend API on App Engine. It describes setting up a sample project to demonstrate creating and accessing a RESTful API from App Engine to retrieve cat photo entries. Code examples show defining an Entry entity class, populating an EntryList, and annotating the EntryList class as an API endpoint to retrieve entries by ID. Running mvn commands generates client libraries that can be used by frontend clients to access the API.

This is a slide about 'Google App Engine for PHP' written in English.
I wrote it for the developer event named "appengine ja night" in Japan.
And I added some contents which I spoke in the event to this slide.
Therefore, the English version is written in more detail than Japanese version.
Unfortunately, I'm not good at English. (I'm studying English now)
But I think that it is more readable than Japanese for many people.
Please tell me if you find mistakes (in the point of English or Technology).

The document discusses designing teams and processes to adapt to changing needs. It recommends structuring teams so members can work within their competencies and across projects fluidly with clear roles and expectations. The design process should support the team and their work, and be flexible enough to change with team, organization, and project needs. An effective team culture builds an environment where members feel free to be themselves, voice opinions, and feel supported.
UX, ethnography and possibilities: for Libraries, Museums and ArchivesNed Potter
1) The document discusses how the University of York Library has used various user experience (UX) techniques like ethnographic observation and interviews to better understand user needs and behaviors.
2) Some changes implemented based on UX findings include installing hot water taps, changing hours, and adding blankets - aimed at improving the small details of user experience.
3) The presentation encourages other libraries, archives and museums to try incorporating UX techniques like behavioral mapping and cognitive interviews to inform design changes that enhance services for users.
