The document discusses the role of taxation in development. Taxation is the biggest source of funding for governments and can be used to reduce inequality and spur infrastructure development. However, Bangladesh's tax-to-GDP ratio of 12% is lower than developing countries which average 15-25%. While Bangladesh's GDP and fiscal expenditure are growing, tax revenue relies too heavily on a few large taxpayers and corruption hinders broader tax collection. Reforms are needed to modernize Bangladesh's tax administration system and encourage more taxpayers.

Making Workflow Automation Personal: The Next Step in Digital Transformation...Michael Oryszak
True digital transformation requires more than incremental improvements and goes beyond individual projects or processes. To become true digital masters, organizations need to think differently and work to enable their members to rethink everything they do in order to identify opportunities for automation. By addressing the capabilities for enhancing workflow automation as a personalized technology capability, organizations can take a giant leap forward and feed and innovation cycle without any limits. This session will help reframe the primary focus from large, centralized processes to enhancing individual and team collaborators that can drive their own process automation using a variety of commonly available no-code solutions. We will dive into techniques to educate and grow the organization's capabilities and also review some of the commonly supported models for measuring the results and ROI.

The Fragmented Enterprise: ECM in the Era of Social Business.AIIM International
The traditional organizational structure of workers sat at desktops, connecting to a business application protected by a firewall is rapidly eroding. In a short period of time we have gone from a wired and bound world, to an unwired "internet in the pocket" world. Driven by the power of the cloud and the crowd, enterprise technology is experiencing innovation at an unparalleled pace with no sign of things slowing down. In this keynote session we will look at what this new digital infrastructure enables, both the positive opportunities for truly social business to emerge alongside the challenges and serious unresolved issues it also raises.

This document discusses trends in employee collaboration and provides inspiration for improving workforce collaboration systems. It begins with an agenda and introductions. Trends discussed include the changing definitions of how, where, when, and with whom people work. Inspiration is drawn from how IT has transformed and the opportunities IT now has to lead change by focusing on the employee experience. Success requires improved systems, simplified policies, and better communication to drive adoption. Thought-starters provide ideas like naming an initiative, modernizing policy, high-impact simple changes, and embracing rogue technologies.
Change is today a continuous process, it is no longer a sequence of rare and punctual phenomena. Nothing escapes: Technology, your market, your customers, your competitors, your employees, etc.
To thrive and succeed, your business need to adapt, learn, innovate and transform itself continuously. It will have to become "agile" from left to right, from top to bottom.
The most important of all changes will likely be the evolution of your own leadership style and your ability to learn new skills and inspire your workforce.

https://www.humanresourcestoday.com/frs/26903483/the-rules-do-apply--navigating-hr-compliance
HR Compliance is like a giant game of whack-a-mole. Once you think your company is compliant with all policies and procedures documented and in place, there’s a new or amended law, regulation, or final rule that pops up landing you back at ‘start.’ There are shifts, interpretations, and balancing acts to understanding compliance changes. Objectives:
• Understand the regulatory landscape, including labor laws at the local, state, and federal levels
• Best practices for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance programs
• Resources and strategies for staying informed about changes to labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
