Sometimes how you look seems more important than what you know, what personality you really are.
Beauty, color, height, size, origin, age, hairstyle, dressing style, accent, disability seem to be the main reasons of Appearance Based Dicrimination
Difference between Indian culture and western culture in youth.Shamsiya Shamsudheen
Indian Culture refers to the customs, traditions, religions and set of rules that are followed in India, while the Western Culture most commonly refers to the culture that is followed in America and Europe.
This topic is always debatable and frankly, there is never a winner as to which culture is better. Both are different types of culture and customs that are followed in different parts of the world. Indian Culture refers to the customs, traditions, religions and set of rules that are followed in India, while the Western Culture most commonly refers to a culture that is followed in America and Europe. Both the cultures differ from each other in the traditional mindset, however, in today’s world both the cultures are coming into a mix. The Indian Culture has been dealing with westernization for a few decades now and the Western Culture has started developing a taste for the exotic Indian food and yoga.
Gender Inequality is one of the most common topics given in presentations in schools and colleges. this ppt can be used to explain the content and analyze the causes of gender Inequality.

Accepting Diversity-Appearance Based Discrimination- The Greek subtopic for C...Kapetanidou Theodossia
“Discrimination Based on Appearance”
Accepting “Diversity”=Accepting “the Other” =
=Accepting “the Different”
“How do I look? We are all different, we are all beautiful.”
Discrimination is ever-present in any society. It is based on unexamined stereotypes and results in the prejudicial treatment of people who happen to be members of a particular group. Being different in appearance in a group of people is often converted in forms of discrimination and this is acted on every level of social life. Society makes assumptions which are unquestionably adopted by the majority of people. As a consequence ‘the Different” is automatically rejected.
Through the Greek subtopic, “Combatting Discrimination of Appearance-Accepting Diversity”, and our YoUtopia project in a wider context, we are investigating forms of discrimination upon ‘the Different’ and are pointing out the effects that such a behavior has upon people.
Heading to the opposite direction, by working under the principles of Equality and Tolerance, developing a spirit of Volunteering as a top significance procedure in social affairs, we equip ourselves with those qualities that can develop a collective conscience on combatting discrimination of appearance or of any other kind. Accepting diversity seems to be the only means of maintaining cohesion of society, coexistence and collaboration of individuals in a multicultural society of today.
We hope that this project, through getting sensitized on Appearance Based Discrimination issues and promoting Diversity principles, will challenge the participative members and the wider social circle that is being involved in activities one way or another to exhibit the benefits of being a multicultural society with respect for the “Different”.
As an impact of this endeavor we hope that students, teachers and parents are going to get more emotionally mature, develop empathy towards the subtle issues of Diversity and Human rights and confront their own bias and prejudices. Our common goal is to make apparent that Acceptance of “the Other”, “the Different”, enhances our quality of life and transforms us to thinking spiritual individuals that stand for the Right and for Justice.

6o Geniko Lykeio of Aigaleo. Modeling the House of Greece for YoUtopia Comeni...Kapetanidou Theodossia
YoUtopia 3D City is going to be our final project of our Comenius Programme, YoUtopia, Towards Participative Citizenship. Every country is designing their house and they are all going to be put together so as to form a city. This is the Greek House model that the Greek pupils have designed. We present some more paterns that pupils have made. Supervising teacher Kapetanidou Theodosia.
Greek pupils from 6o Geniko Lykeio of Aigaleo invited pupils from 7 different countries for friendly volleyball games on the last day of works of YoUtopia's Comenius Partnership. Different origins, cultures, general backround yet capable of finding common ways to collaborate and share unforgettable moments here in Aigaleo.
After a tiring but fascinating morning exploring the monuments on the Acropolis Hill and the New Museum of Acropolis, pupils of YoUtopia team stopped to get some rest and take memorial pictures. Though different concerning origin, culture and general backround they managed to find ways and procedures to collaborate for a common goal. They have been working together for 5 days in order to inquire Appearance Based Discriminatio
6o Geniko Lykeio of Aigaleo and their Comenius Youtopia partners visited the New Museum of Acropolis during the works of the partnership in Aigaleo, Athens, Greece. Beauty being apparent eveywhere, declares that the Ancient Greeks had a developed feeling of Beauty which is proved by the Golden Ration and the artifacts they created.
YoUtopia partners from 8 European countries visited the Temple of goddess Athena, the Parthenon. 2500 years after its constuction and destructions, it still inspires with its architectural perfection. Apart from the monument itself, one can have a full view of the city of Athens from above. The Acropolis Hill monuments are the Greek history and represent a golden era of prosperity during the Golden Age of Pericles, the 5th century BC
In this presentation there is significant information for the construction-artifacts that Ancient Greeks created around 5th Century BC and the distructions they have suffered by conquerors. It's a pity when monuments and pieces of History are victims of human conficts.
The YoUtopia partners visited Galaxeidi beautiful town, Itea and Delphi. They took interviews for impressions from many of them on their way back to Athens.
The Greek pupils of 6o Geniko Lykeio of Aigaleo will always remeber the days they spend with their guests from YoUtopia Family. They send you their memories-impressions with the promise that they are going to meet again sometime in the future.

On our way to Athens, on Monday afternoon, the Greek Partners of Comenius Programme, YoUtopia Towards Participative Citizenship, offered a tour to their foreign partners through Cape Souninon and the Temple of Poseidon to Alimos Beach in Piraeus. At Sounion, the ancient temple of Poseidon, God of Sea, stands imposingly at the edge of the Cape, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The coastline streches out in the serenity of the Saronicos Gulf in the Aegean Sea, with a marvellous view when the sun starts sinking in the horizon.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
