- There are over 3,000 known species of sea hares that vary greatly in size from 0.25 to 12 inches. They are in the genus Alypsia.
- Sea hares have a tentacle with a mouth at the end of a short snout to bite, rasp, or suck their food. They are classified as mollusks.
- When threatened, sea hares release clouds of ink to blind attackers. The students observed the sea hares they collected ink all over their gloves and climb the sides of the glass tank to reach the surface for oxygen.

Sea turtles
It is difficult to find the exact population numbers for sea turtles because male and young sea turtles do not return to shore once they hatch and reach the ocean, which makes it hard to keep track of them. However, all around the world countries have set up turtle sanctuaries. Take the Maldives, five of the seven species of sea turtles can be with the two most common being the Hawksbill and the Green Leatherback.

Sea turtles, sometimes called marine turtles, are reptiles of the order Testudines and of the suborder Cryptodira. The seven existing species of sea turtles are the green sea turtle, loggerhead sea turtle, Kemp's ridley sea turtle, olive ridley sea turtle, hawksbill sea turtle, flatback sea turtle, and leatherback sea turtle.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

6. What we observed The sea hare’s inked all over our gloves. When we put the hare’s in the water they expanded and little spikes came out of them. They went to the surface of the water to get oxygen. They were climbing all over the sides of the glass.
8. Standards Met 8 standards met in this project. How Science works – the scientific process. Here are the steps we did – went to the ocean, caught weird things, held one, they inked, we brought them back and put them in a tank, we watched them, we did research, and we put together our findings. We argued our point with others – people were saying it was a sea slug but we were telling them it was a sea hare.
9. Standards Met Reproduction is essential for the survival species – They eat a lot and lay more eggs. Plants and animals need each other to survive – Sea hares need to eat plants to survive. Human activities and natural events can have major impacts on the environment – the sea hares are washing up on shore more than usual because of the fertilizer that is in the plants goes in the lakes because of rainfall and washes into the ocean.
10. Standards Met Living things share similar basic needs – they need oxygen sunlight and water to live just like we do. Living things get energy many different ways – Sunlight, oxygen, when we put them in the tank the water was not rippling like the ocean so the sea hares climbed up the side of the tank and lifted their heads out and got oxygen.
