Government Act, Terrorism Act, The Suppression of Communism Act
and Passes Act into the Three Main Aims of Apartheid
The Final decision was made by the Race Classification board which was very subjective ( pencil test etc). Families were often split because one sibling was lighter or darker than another
For example District 6 and Sophia Town.
This idea was to place blacks on the outskirts of society and white people closer to the better amenities
Aim - have black independent states removed from South Africa
Pass Book - Included a photograph, details of place of birth, employment record,tax payments and encounters with the police. If you could not produce a pass, resulted in immediate imprisonment
