Imperyalism
o
- Ang imperyalismo ay nangangahulugan
ng dominasyon ng isang
makpangyarihang nasyon/estado sa
aspetong political, pangkabuhayan ng
isang mahina at maliit na nasyon o
estado upang maging pandaigdigang
makapangyarihan.
Kolonyalismo
- Isang salitang ginagamit upang
mailarawan ang isang
pamamaraan ng pagpapalawak o
pagpapahawig ng lupaing sakop
ng isang bansa.
• Bumilis ang antas ng
produksyon dahil sa
naimbentong makinarya at
kagamitan.
• Ginamit ng mga Kanluranin ang mga
likas na yaman ng mga nasakop na
bansa upang makagawa ng mas

• ISOLATION
o Ang paghiwalay ng China mula sa daigdig.
o Dahil sa mataas ang kanilang pagtingin sa kanilang kultura at sa paniniwala na
makakasira lamang sa kanilang bansa ang impluwensiya ng daigdig.
• Pinayagang makapasok ang mga dayuhan sa daungan ng GUANGZHOU upang
makipag-kalakalan, ngunit kaulangan muna nila isagawa ang ritwal na KOWTOW.
o KOWTOW – ang pagluhod at pagyuko na nakasayad ang noo sa lupa bilang
simbolo ng paggalang.
• Plihim na ipinasok ng mga British ang OPYO sa China na naging dahilan ng
pagkakulong sa bisyo ng mga Tsino.
o OPYO – isang halamang gamot na kapag inabuso ay may masamang epekto nito
sa kalusugan.

• Sumiklab noong 1839 nang kumpiskahin at sunugin ng mga Tsino ang
nakuhang Opyo sa barko ng mga British.
• Natalo ang mga Tsino sa digmaan dahil sa lakas ng puwersa ng mga
British.
• August 29,1842 nang pirmahan ng China ang “kasunduang Nnking” na
opisyan na nagwakas sa unang digmaang opyo.

barko ng mga British na may dalang Opyo.
• Sumali rin sa digmaan ang bansang France dahil sa di umano’y
pagpatay ng mga Tsino sa isang paring Pransesna si Jean
Babriel Perboyre.
• Natalo ang China at napilitang lagdaan ang “kasunduang
Tientsin” (1860)

Sa pagkahina ng katatagan ng China ay sinamantala ito ng mga
kanluranin. Hinati-hati ang mga bahagi ng Tsina at tinawag na SPHERE
OF INFLUENCE.

• Rehiyon o bahagi ng China na kung saan nangingibabaw ang
karapatan ng mga kanluraning bansa kumokontrol sa ekonomiya
at pamumuhay ng mga taong naninirahan dito.
• Kabilang dito ang bansang ENGLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY,
PORTUGAL, RUSSIA, AT JAPAN ng matalo nito ang China sa
digmaang “Sino-Haposes 1894”

China.
o OPEN DOOR POLICY – isinasaad sa polisiyang ito na
mananatiling bukas ang bansang China sa pakikipagkalakalan
sa mga bansa na walang sphere of influence.

daungan para sa mga Amerika.

• Upang maiwasan ang pakikipagdigma sa isang malakas na
bansa ng tinanggap nito ang kahilingan ng Amerika.
• Nilagdaan ng Japan ang “kasunduang Kanagawa” ng 1854.

  • 3. Layunin: Nasusuri ang mga dahilan, paraan, at epekto ng Kolonyalismo, Imperyalismo ng mga Kanluranin sa Silangang Asya.
  • 4. Imperyalism o - Ang imperyalismo ay nangangahulugan ng dominasyon ng isang makpangyarihang nasyon/estado sa aspetong political, pangkabuhayan ng isang mahina at maliit na nasyon o estado upang maging pandaigdigang makapangyarihan.
  • 5. Kolonyalismo - Isang salitang ginagamit upang mailarawan ang isang pamamaraan ng pagpapalawak o pagpapahawig ng lupaing sakop ng isang bansa.
  • 6. • Bumilis ang antas ng produksyon dahil sa naimbentong makinarya at kagamitan. • Ginamit ng mga Kanluranin ang mga likas na yaman ng mga nasakop na bansa upang makagawa ng mas maraming produkto. • Pinamahalaan at kinontrol ng mga Kanluranin ang mga ekonomiya ng mga Asyano. • Kumpetisyon ng mga Kanluranin sa panananakop ng mga lupain at pagkontrol sa kalakalan. • Mataas na pangabgailangan sa mga hilaw na materyalis. • Kinontrol ng mga Kanluranin ang kalakalan at ang pagtatanim ng mga Asyano ng mgs produktong kailangan sa kalakalan. Sanhi Bunga • Nangangailangan sila ng mga bansang mapag-dadalhan ng subrang produkto. • Ipinabili ang kanilang sobrang produkto sa mga kolonya nila sa Asya.

Unang Digmaang Opyo (1839 – 1842)

Nilalaman ng Kasunduang Tientsin • Pagbubukas ng 11 pang daungan para sa kalakalan. • Pag-aangkin ng England sa Kowloon. • Paghihintulot sa mga kanluranin na manirahan sa Perking at sa buong China. • Ginawang legal ang pabebenta ng Opyo sa China. Sa pagkahina ng katatagan ng China ay sinamantala ito ng mga kanluranin. Hinati-hati ang mga bahagi ng Tsina at tinawag na SPHERE OF INFLUENCE.

Sphere of Influence • Rehiyon o bahagi ng China na kung saan nangingibabaw ang karapatan ng mga kanluraning bansa kumokontrol sa ekonomiya at pamumuhay ng mga taong naninirahan dito. • Kabilang dito ang bansang ENGLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, PORTUGAL, RUSSIA, AT JAPAN ng matalo nito ang China sa digmaang “Sino-Haposes 1894” United States • Isinulong ng bansang Amerikano ang OPEN DOOR POLICY sa China. o OPEN DOOR POLICY – isinasaad sa polisiyang ito na mananatiling bukas ang bansang China sa pakikipagkalakalan sa mga bansa na walang sphere of influence.

Milliard Filmore si Cmde. Mattew Perry sa Jpan upang makiusap na buksan ang mga daungan para sa mga Amerika. o Kasama ni Cmde. Perry ang barkong pandigma ng Amerikano ng magtungo sa Japan. • Upang maiwasan ang pakikipagdigma sa isang malakas na bansa ng tinanggap nito ang kahilingan ng Amerika. • Nilagdaan ng Japan ang “kasunduang Kanagawa” ng 1854.
