Ants are found worldwide and have 6 legs with 3 joints, allowing them to lift 20 times their body weight. They have around 250,000 brain cells and live 45-60 days. Ants use their antennae for both touch and smell and have compound eyes. They have two stomachs in their abdomen and are covered by a hard exoskeleton. Ants go through four growth stages - egg, larva, pupa, and adult. There are over 10,000 known ant species, and each colony has one or more queens.
