Bullying involves aggressive behavior that demonstrates power over others through mental, verbal, or physical abuse and can lead to depression, anxiety, sadness, sleep and eating changes, decreased academic performance, health complaints, loss of interest, and even suicide. To prevent bullying, people should communicate openly, encourage children to engage in activities they enjoy, be positive role models, celebrate individual uniqueness, treat others with compassion and respect, and support each other through small kind acts instead of putting each other down.
