Elderly people with dementia are now locked in closed parts of a home. With positioning technology, we can give them more freedom to go walk in the garden for example. When they are in zones that are too dangerous, the staff will be notified automatically of the position of the person. This is realised with sensor network technology.Er zijn inderdaad andere bedrade, moeilijk te installeren systemen, die hetzelfde doen. In de Vijvers hebben ze dit zelfs aan de hoofdingang. Dit is een soort magnetisch veld tussen poortjes (zoals in winkels). Als ze daar door lopen met een Tag, gaat het alarm af. Dit is vooral moeilijk (en duur) om te installeren omdat er meestal veel uitgangen zijn (bv de ramen in de cafetaria van De Vijvers die openstaan in de zomer).
