The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has issued mobile devices like laptops, smartphones, and air cards to enhance productivity and enable agents to access information in real-time including 6,500 laptops with secure Wi-Fi, 3,100 cellular broadband air cards, and 1,800 Blackberries. The ATF mobility solutions program aims to provide a secure, managed environment for agents to use enterprise applications from mobile devices while meeting demands for usability and convenience from users.
