Article in The Times of Israel by Andy Blumenthal: Modern-day anti-Semitism has taken the form of pro-Hamas supporters on our campuses and in our cities who pretend that they are fighting against colonialism and an occupation of Palestine. They strategically disguise their Jew-hatred by falsely portraying themselves as the victims of oppression. Instead of showing themselves as the vile racists that they are, they attempt to hide as wolves in sheep's clothing. They do this to try and get the world's sympathy and take the mantle of morality and legitimacy through lies and distortion. In so doing, they can call for resistance, intifada, and jihad, and "by any (murderous and abhorrent) means necessary," all the while pretending to be virtuous.

sympathy and take the mantle of morality and legitimacy through lies and
distortion. In so doing, they can call for resistance, intifada, and jihad, and “by

What a perfect recipe for hate, racism, violence, and genocide!
Under normal circumstances in democracies like the US, UK, Canada, and
Australia, discrimination, racism, hate crimes, and incitement to violence
against a whole class of people would be unthinkable, but that, of course, is
unless you turn the object of your hate and desire to kill into global villains and
scapegoats!
Thus, in the “logic” of these rampaging mobs of pro-Hamas terrorist supporters
who claim to be virtuous because they are fighting against the “evil Zionists”
(i.e., Jews), every vile and hateful thing they want to do is justified, including:
Raping women
Killing babies
Burnings and beheadings
Torture and mutilations
Hostage-taking
Suicide bombings
Attacking shopping centers, pizzerias, discotheques, and schools

3. To them, it’s all legitimate, because, like the phony conspiracy theory put forth
in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, published already in 1903, the Jews “run
(control) the world.”
Today, this is portrayed as Zionists being satanic/demonic and at the top of the
list of oppressors of all other people.
Therefore, as one brainwashed “protester” at Columbia University yelled this
week:
The mantle of righteousness is indeed a powerful tool and has been used in
religious wars throughout the millennia, from the Crusaders to the Armies of
the Caliphate. Once you interject G-d, religion, and right and wrong into the
equation, it becomes much easier, acceptable, and even desirable to do the
unthinkable, plunder, and kill at will (like in the pogroms, Holocaust, the Arab
wars against Israel, and on October 7).
Thus, when our enemies want to hate on Jews and kill us—genocide and all—the
best way for them to do it is to try to take away our humanity, delegitimize us,
and demonize us. If we are bad, then they are good in trying to wipe us out.
Perhaps then the best weapon we have in our arsenal against these rapid anti-
Semites is not guns, bombs, or any military weapons (which unfortunately we
still need to defend ourselves), but rather to show the world that we are the
opposite of what these hate-filled terrorists want to propagandize us as. In the
end, we need to be genuine good people, people of faith, charitable, G-d fearing,
and loving of our family, communities, and fellow man.
Never forget Oct. 7th! It will happen not 1 more time, not 5 more times, not 10,
not 100, not 1,000, but 10,000 times! The 7th of October is going to be every
day for you.”

Jews are not demons any more than Palestinians are. We are all G-d’s children,
and we need to see past the hate to a day when we can live in peace under the
rule of the One G-d of all humanity.
As we say in the prayer Aleinu:
The L-rd will be King over the entire earth; on that day, the L-rd will be One,
and His name One.”

I don't think it's accurate to conflate this Arab hatred of jews with all the students at
these protests.
There are jew haters there, yes. Probably mostly Arabs. Then there's random college
students that want to protest something. Maybe they saw some powerful propaganda.
Maybe they don't have any Jewish friends but know some Arabs.
What's the point of refusing to differentiate the groups and then blaming them all for the
views of the worst?

5. American college students may throw around terms like resistance and oppression. I
don't see that as de facto antisemitism. And would doubt your assertion than an
American college student using the term resistance is voicing the 'by any means
necessary' sentiment. In America this phrase is most associated with African American
Civil rights.
