Whether you’re looking to grow your business or are thinking of creating a new tech service, your best bet is a mobile application. Not only do nearly 4 billion people own a smartphone globally, but a study from the World Advertising Research Center found that 72.6% of internet users will only access the web with a mobile device by 2025. That’s nearly 3.7 billion people.
So, if there’s any time to put your mobile app development plan into action, it’s today. And before anything else, there’s one factor you have to prioritize: the OS you’re going to develop it for. Savvy App’s report states that quality apps — or those with great UI, framework, and features — will cost businesses anywhere between $50,000 and $1 million. And since iOS and Android are both fundamentally different systems, you might not have the time nor the money to create an app for both at once.
To help you decide which OS to prioritize for development, let’s look at some of their differences.

GREAT product roadmap evolves from the product vision and product strategy. Further, it acts as one of the single most important documents that provide a unified and consistent view of where the product is heading to all the relevant stakeholders (Engineering Team, Sales Team, Account Team, Business Development Team, Sr Management, Customers and Partners).
Product vision and strategy should provide a framework and guidance for the preparation of GREAT product roadmap, and it should be the overarching principle that governs the process of preparing product roadmaps. eBook attempts to define the approach to building GREAT product roadmap with product vision and strategy as its guiding principle.
Product Roadmaps - Tips on how to create and manage roadmapsMarc Abraham

How to Use Your Product Roadmap as a Communication ToolJanna Bastow
Find out how making this one small change at your company can completely shift the way you communicate with your customers for the better.
In this webinar, ProdPad co-founder Janna Bastow will talk about how companies have successfully gone public with their product roadmaps - and share exactly what steps you’ll need to take to launch yours.
You’ll see two dramatic changes when you open the door to your product roadmap to your customers:
- Your customers will know your product vision and your priorities as a company
- Your support team will be able to confidently take customer feedback and answer questions about feature requests.
Even among companies that claim to be committed to transparency, product roadmaps have generally been shrouded in secrecy - the result of a fear of backing out on commitments or missing release dates.
The reality is that companies that share their roadmaps are able to set practical expectations with their customers, communicate priorities and the future of their products clearly and retain their strongest customers.

Doug Robinson - Ad Agencies and AI: Real Use CasesMediaPost
AI and ML represent a huge opportunity and challenge for ad agencies; how quickly they adopt and deploy these technologies in the right way both internally and externally through client work will be crucial. But what does that mean? How can AI and ML help improve customer experiences today as well as further down the road, and what is the road map to getting there? How do these technologies inform advertisers about how to leverage data in new ways? How is it advancing programmatic advertising, in particular?

Importance of regional language in digital marketingRonak Jain
Digital marketing is probably one of the biggest parts of the marketing spectrum today. The internet and the various websites being some of the biggest platforms for communication, social media marketing is reaching new heights every day. We now live in a day and age where you can be in any part of the world and know what is happening in the other part. Isn’t that awesome?
Though digital marketing is on the high and rise, it comes with a major flaw. That is, the language that is predominantly used in web-based social networking, is English. Though that is good on a global basis, when it comes to India, it is becoming quite problematic. As we all know, India is a country of vast culture and rich heritage. But, that also means that it is a country with a diversified range of languages.

Launch Your Streaming Platforms in MinutesRoshan Dwivedi
The claim of launching a streaming platform in minutes might be a bit of an exaggeration, but there are services that can significantly streamline the process. Here's a breakdown:
Pros of Speedy Streaming Platform Launch Services:
No coding required: These services often use drag-and-drop interfaces or pre-built templates, eliminating the need for programming knowledge.
Faster setup: Compared to building from scratch, these platforms can get you up and running much quicker.
All-in-one solutions: Many services offer features like content management systems (CMS), video players, and monetization tools, reducing the need for multiple integrations.
Things to Consider:
Limited customization: These platforms may offer less flexibility in design and functionality compared to custom-built solutions.
Scalability: As your audience grows, you might need to upgrade to a more robust platform or encounter limitations with the "quick launch" option.
Features: Carefully evaluate which features are included and if they meet your specific needs (e.g., live streaming, subscription options).
Examples of Services for Launching Streaming Platforms:
Muvi [muvi com]
Uscreen [usencreen tv]
Alternatives to Consider:
Existing Streaming platforms: Platforms like YouTube or Twitch might be suitable for basic streaming needs, though monetization options might be limited.
Custom Development: While more time-consuming, custom development offers the most control and flexibility for your platform.
Overall, launching a streaming platform in minutes might not be entirely realistic, but these services can significantly speed up the process compared to building from scratch. Carefully consider your needs and budget when choosing the best option for you.

How to Position Your Globus Data Portal for Success Ten Good PracticesGlobus
Science gateways allow science and engineering communities to access shared data, software, computing services, and instruments. Science gateways have gained a lot of traction in the last twenty years, as evidenced by projects such as the Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI) and the Center of Excellence on Science Gateways (SGX3) in the US, The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) and its platforms in Australia, and the projects around Virtual Research Environments in Europe. A few mature frameworks have evolved with their different strengths and foci and have been taken up by a larger community such as the Globus Data Portal, Hubzero, Tapis, and Galaxy. However, even when gateways are built on successful frameworks, they continue to face the challenges of ongoing maintenance costs and how to meet the ever-expanding needs of the community they serve with enhanced features. It is not uncommon that gateways with compelling use cases are nonetheless unable to get past the prototype phase and become a full production service, or if they do, they don't survive more than a couple of years. While there is no guaranteed pathway to success, it seems likely that for any gateway there is a need for a strong community and/or solid funding streams to create and sustain its success. With over twenty years of examples to draw from, this presentation goes into detail for ten factors common to successful and enduring gateways that effectively serve as best practices for any new or developing gateway.

Climate Science Flows: Enabling Petabyte-Scale Climate Analysis with the Eart...Globus
The Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) is a global network of data servers that archives and distributes the planet’s largest collection of Earth system model output for thousands of climate and environmental scientists worldwide. Many of these petabyte-scale data archives are located in proximity to large high-performance computing (HPC) or cloud computing resources, but the primary workflow for data users consists of transferring data, and applying computations on a different system. As a part of the ESGF 2.0 US project (funded by the United States Department of Energy Office of Science), we developed pre-defined data workflows, which can be run on-demand, capable of applying many data reduction and data analysis to the large ESGF data archives, transferring only the resultant analysis (ex. visualizations, smaller data files). In this talk, we will showcase a few of these workflows, highlighting how Globus Flows can be used for petabyte-scale climate analysis.
First Steps with Globus Compute Multi-User EndpointsGlobus
In this presentation we will share our experiences around getting started with the Globus Compute multi-user endpoint. Working with the Pharmacology group at the University of Auckland, we have previously written an application using Globus Compute that can offload computationally expensive steps in the researcher's workflows, which they wish to manage from their familiar Windows environments, onto the NeSI (New Zealand eScience Infrastructure) cluster. Some of the challenges we have encountered were that each researcher had to set up and manage their own single-user globus compute endpoint and that the workloads had varying resource requirements (CPUs, memory and wall time) between different runs. We hope that the multi-user endpoint will help to address these challenges and share an update on our progress here.
