Android is a mobile operating system (OS) based on the Linux kernel and currently developed by Google. With a user interface based on direct manipulation, Android is designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers, with specialized user interfaces for televisions (Android TV), cars (Android Auto), and wrist watches (Android Wear). The OS uses touch inputs that loosely correspond to real-world actions, like swiping, tapping, pinching, and reverse pinching to manipulate on-screen objects, and a virtual keyboard. Despite being primarily designed for touchscreen input, it also has been used in game consoles, digital cameras, regular PCs (e.g. the HP Slate 21) and other electronics.

Today as we think of a smartphone the first thing that came up in the mind of most of you would be a touch screen device with great camera and features that could amaze you or keep you entertained.
Although you still have to do your Assignments on your own :P So then still why do you think these phones are considered so smart..!! Do they help you change your small brother sister’s nappies..!! of course not so WHY.?
Help you find your way out from nowhere to somewhere, find some great cuisine to make it at home or restaurant to have it there, even gives you the directions to hop in there.. These smartphones can do everything you could want a phone can do obviously they still won’t change nappies (until you made them do so After all you all are Engineers.. ;)) but would do all other.!!
One thing that makes a Smartphone is its Soul and Organs technically say it’s OS and Hardware.
Obviously a good and advanced hardware means better features and ease of access and smooth transitions. But we still need something to juice up this hardware and make the best out of it.
For this here comes Mr. OS in the picture. Mr. OS is someone who manages the hardware and software resources and provide common services to the programs.
Good hardware paired up with top OS gives you mind boggling features and astonishing experience.
One very familiar name for Mr, OS is Android. Most of you would be very familiar with this word. Why am I saying most actually every one of you would be familiar with this one..
So let's get started with the Android and see it's new features and a bit of it's ancestors in the slides..
In these days Android is one of the most widely used mobile OS. It is a bunch of software comprising not only operating system but also middle ware and key applications. Android Inc. was founded in Palo Alto of California, U.S. by Andy Rubin, Rich miner, Nick sears and Chris White in 2003. Later Android Inc. was acquired by Google in 2005. Later on its acquisition, Google regularly released its updated versions with new features. In this PPT you will get to know all the versions of Andorid and their related features.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Generating a custom Ruby SDK for your web service or Rails API using Smithyg2nightmarescribd
Have you ever wanted a Ruby client API to communicate with your web service? Smithy is a protocol-agnostic language for defining services and SDKs. Smithy Ruby is an implementation of Smithy that generates a Ruby SDK using a Smithy model. In this talk, we will explore Smithy and Smithy Ruby to learn how to generate custom feature-rich SDKs that can communicate with any web service, such as a Rails JSON API.
