Project Manager: Works closely with the artistic director to achieve her vision. Manages all aspects of the
company includes simultaneous initiatives such as box office management, production, hiring, recruitment
and management of volunteers.
Board: Manages the board, works closely with the Co-chairs and the Artistic Director on planning upcoming
seasons. Coordinate all aspects of the AGM. Initiate board recruitment, fundraising committees and
engage in networking events scouting potential board members.
Marketing and Social Media: Develops the marketing plan for productions and workshops. Attends
conferences and networking events to facilitate touring. Leads social media engagement.
Grant Writing: Works with team to facilitate successful grants from all levels of government and
foundations.
Fundraising: Collaborate and execute 2014/15 fundraising plan with creative content: crowdfunding
(Indiegogo); Aeroplan campaign; Data base collection for mail-out campaign for 2015/16; Develops and
leads hospitality and key fundraising events such as MD Silent Auction.
Facility Managing: Initiating and managing the MD studios rentals and liasing with St Paul’s Anglican
Church where we rent.
Achievements-
-Streamlined the administration and human resources of this founder-led company from four
managers in two years to one manager over two years developing a strong collaborative team.
-Created, managed and maintained the budget to be balanced and show fiscal responsibility.
-Increased performances/classes/ lecture presentations from 16 in Vancouver in 2013/2014 to 20
in Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Seattle, Portland and Ghent Belgium in 2014/2015.
-Freshened ongoing annual productions: WOW summer school, BLOOM artist residencies to new
growth and profit.
-Generated new performance opportunities through constant networking and conference
attendance (14/15:Western Arts Alliance, CAPACOA, Pacific Contact)
-Helped company that has been on operating with Canada Council, British Columbia Arts Council,
City of Vancouver, and Gaming funding since its inception in the 90’s move off of concerned status
in 2013/14 with BCAC and City of Vancouver.
-Social media presence improved. Facebook friends have grown by 31% from December, 2013 to
April 15, 2015 to 3,205; Twitter Followers by 71% and Following by 42%, and initiated our
Instagram account in July 2014 which now has 543 following and 259 followers.

2. Managed company relocation and a major renovation that saw four studios built on time and on budget.
-Initiated and maintained the yearly budget and increased revenue during a difficult transition
-Liaised with Board of Directors, an eight person teaching staff, four person administration staff, parent
volunteers, the community and businesses to facilitate performance opportunities, produced a year
end recital of 400 students, and rentals to outside companies/businesses.
-Developed and implemented all marketing material.
Historical Performance Ensemble, Vancouver, BC
Publicity/ Marketing/Touring/Grant Writing (Part time)
Organized and implemented a Vancouver Island tour that reached capacity crowds through community
outreach, a thorough approach to media involvement and initiating creative marketing.
Stagecoach School of Performing Arts, Dance Division, Salt Spring Island, BC. Department Head,

-Initiated and created a youth dance school, an adjunct to the already existing theatre program, that
evolved into a 200 student school (SSI’s population is 10,000 in the winter).
-Developed and implemented all marketing material.
-Liaised with the Theatre Program, fellow teachers, parents, community and schools off-island to produce
ongoing classes, special workshops, various performance opportunities and a yearly recital.
-Initiated and maintained the Dance Department yearly budget and so balanced the theatre budget.
-Successfully wrote grants to the Salt Spring Arts Council
Mile Zero Dance, Edmonton, AB, Co-Artistic Director/Executive Director, Publicity/ Marketing,

Created and built the company with co-artistic director Debra Shantz as a company in residence at Grant
MacEwan University. Initiated, created and maintained the non-profit society for the modern dance
performing company hiring up to 6 dancers, musicians, costume designers, lighting designers, stage
managers for full seasons for 5 years. The company still exists.
-Liaised with Board of Directors, artistic and production staff, schools throughout Alberta as school
touring was a mainstay of our season, theatres both in Edmonton and throughout Alberta. Collaborated
with businesses and community organizations for performing opportunities.
-Developed and implemented all marketing material including branding.
-Initiated, managed and maintained the yearly budget.
-Consistently received project and operating grants from Alberta Culture, Gaming and various
foundations.Received individual travel and professional development grants for 5 years previously.
-Fundraising: Annual events, silent auctions, healthy box office, I initiated and managed a successful
social enterprise: selling visual artist Braineater’s t-shirt line.
