There are several different types of thinking. There is analytical, intuitive, creative, logic and
rhetoric, all which are different tools in our own minds thinking tool box. They are not opposites,
but used in different situations or a combination is used together to reach the best solution to a

Characterization is used to address how ignorant a person can be to his or her heritage in the
short story "Everyday Use," by Alice Walker. The author shows the way of living, of a family to
display the reader the way heritage is forgotten and, or ignored. In this short story the author uses a
mother, and two daughters, Dee and Maggie, to demonstrate how different the thoughts are
between a family and how they honor their heritage. Maggie is used in the story to show the
reader how heritage is still followed and respected in a family. The narrator, Mama, describes

then Maggie on bottom. Although Mama preferred Dee, she would spend most of her time with
Maggie and got along better with her. The narrator always talked about how Dee would make her
mother and her sister Maggie's self esteem go down: "She washes us in a river of make believe,

situation, which eases his anger and causes him to believe the two storytellers, especially when he

What Business Analytics is: The Basics Introduction Business analytics, in a nutshell, is usage of the
type of data that can help one analyze a particular business situation and decide how to improve it.

analysis, as well as predictive and explanatory modeling. Business analytics is different to Business
intelligence which also uses statistical methods. Business analytics uses statistical methods and data
to arrive at fresh understanding and illumination of a situation, whereas business intelligence uses

the detective side of business using the statistics to develop and progress the business or direct it in
