nation. It is expected that an engineering graduate work for
solving the problems of society using the modern technologies
and practices. It is needed to cultivate the human values in
engineering graduates to fulfill his/her responsibilities as an
engineer, a citizen and a human being.
• Considering the various social backgrounds and whether a
student comes from the urban or rural areas they differ in
many of the life skills and their abilities and thinking. To
overcome such issues it is necessary to create an environment
for students. The induction program covers the various
activities which enables them to overcome all such issues and
motivates them to perform well in their chosen branch of
admission.
5. CAMPUS TOUR
• AMET university is the first maritime university in India. It has
got the best infrastructure and it consist of Ship in Campus.
• The campus is designed in such a way that it can produce
best engineers in the world.
• It has got multi specialty lab and Air conditioning class rooms.
• It has got the best parade ground.
6. NSS
• AMET NSS unit has conducted many events like blood
donation camps.
• Last year the unit conducted a mega blood donation
camp with the tie-up of government hospital of Chennai.
• The students of AMET are highly participating in all the
events of NSS.
• They arranged a huge rally consisting of 300 students to
create awareness on “Say no to Drug”
7. NCC
• AMET NCC Unit comes under 1TN NAVEL Regiment.
• Cadets of AMET have achieved greater heights by
representing their unit in Republic day parade held in
Delhi and have participated in Youth exchange program.
• They have a good parade ground.
• AMET NCC gives higher opportunity to students who are
passionate towards it.

13. Short Report of Induction Program
• First day, the freshers speech at auditorium by the seniors. Captain
Aditiya and C.Abishek enlightened us. HOD Rajashekar guided us
towards the degree life in amet. And specializations about our course.
The next, our campus tour held by seniors, which was an amazing walk
through the amet campus, we observed the shipping campus, the level
of amet our business school, the swimming pool, sailors cafe, the
football court, and many more. Some Faculty carried us with dance and
singing.we were in love with the session.Mrs.jagadishwari taught us
about Act and skit. And personal development to leadership skill.Some
Faculty carried us with some soft skills. Mrs.Shobana taught us about
communication skills. And drenched us with new words. Faculties told
us to observe a short film. It was about a quote "right here right
now","what we sow, shall we weap".Mahabalipuram tour organized by
the university. Our travel was by university bus from college to
Mahabalipuram we admired the beauty of Mahabalipuram through the
beach view, the rocks, the horses there.
