Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
2. In the next few slides I will
show you basic information
about Alyshen and how far he
has gone to get his work know
3. Alyshen is a musician who also composes and write’s songs. They tend to follow
and electric style that sweeps across several genres. His unique global sound is a
result of carefully crafted compositions that rise high above the ethnic and
language barriers. Alyshen can change adapt and evolve his art to his current
surroundings. He is a true creative chameleon.
Alyshen, like most artists started out in a choir. Alyshen choir was part of the
school church. At the age of 11 he was invited in to a music studio and introduced
in to a produce. Alyshen says about the experience; “For the first time I
experienced a professional atmosphere and expert musicians. Immediately, I felt
the connection and began developing my musical passion.”
His first big success was in his early teen years, where he was the lead vocalist of a
boy band trio. After leaving the band at age fifteen, he composed his first song
“I’ll Go No2” which received good air play.
Leaving home at the age of eighteen, Alyshen moved to Russia to attend the
prestigious Saint Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts. After attending
the University, he spent time traveling across the world performing at venues and
parks.
Alyshen released his debut album, The Revolution of Me in 2010. The seventeen-
track album exemplifies his experience in various musical styles, containing
elements of soul, r&b, dance and pop.
4. His musical influences are drawn from his
lifelong interest in a broad range of styles. “I
have never boxed myself into listening to one
type of music,” says Alyshen. Since childhood, he
has enjoyed the works of artists from
pop, electronic, jazz and even music from the
1950s and 60s. Along with this exposure to
many artists and genres, Alyshen’s style and
understanding of how to express his thoughts
through his songs has evolved. He composes his
own lyrics and melodies while basing his material
on real-life experiences. “Whatever genre I am
working in, I aim for a sound that has a
sensual, strong and is laden with emotional
affect.”
5. Now I will display all the
information shown on the first
medium that I checked to find
more information about Alyshen
6. Facebook was the first medium
that I decided to try to find
Alyshen and I was amazed that on
Facebook he had very few likes.
Likes can determine a lot about a
business. So I assumed that he did
not have much luck with his
music.
After looking on his Facebook wall
a bit more I saw that he had a very
nice range of pictures on there.
The majority where head shots but
they did include some full
body/long shots and mid shots.
7. This is a print screen of
the information on his
page. As you can see the
Biography I have already
included previously.
The most shocking part
of this for me was the
amount of websites he
had attacked him self to.
There were 8 websites to
check out. Also on this
information we can see
that he is a member of a
record label – the
Melodic Revolution
Records, we can see his
genre’s – Pop R&B Soul
etc, and his influences in
more detail.
8. The next website I check out that he had was
the more popular social media website for
band’s and artists – MySpace. Again on here
we can see that there are many more pictures
but these ones were very different from the
ones on Facebook. Facebook has a different
target audience compared to MySpace. He is
trying to appeal to fans via Facebook and
record labels via MySpace.
9. MySpace provided me with the style of the artists.
MySpace cont.
In this picture we see Alyshen sitting on a stone
This follows on form the urban youth culture that I block wearing different shades of the colour blue.
have been researching. The look of Alyshen in the
above photo, it is smart yet casual, silk non creased It looks like he is wearing a t-shirt and jeans, with
blazers with text splashed a crossed a t-shirt, jeans a hoody or jumper acting as a scarf. This is
and a belt. another possible artist image that I could recreate
for my artist.
