LEARNING STRANDS
8. August 9, 2019- ALS learners in
Libertad was trying to know their
knowledge, skills and abilities
through checking the following
columns: identifying their own
strengths and weaknesses,
interests and challenges, setting a
goal and making the plan to reach
the goal. The results will guide
me in helping my learners to
learn more about the topic in
Module 1- Personal
Development.
9. November 3, 2019- ALS Learners was actively
participating in my learning session in Module 5-
Safety and Health at Work through writing some of
hazards in the workplace that might happen or occur
which can cause problems and could put at risks on
people while working. They must be aware of such
hazards so that by all means danger can be prevented
and to keep them safe always from any harm.
10. Learners played games in Verbal and Non-verbal
Communication (Message Relay & Act Scenario Guessing
Game) for them to motivate to learn in Module 2-
Interpersonal Communication. They really enjoyed
and had so much fun through their collaborative efforts
each group aiming to win and claim the cash price
afterwards.
11. Group Work for Module 3 (Leadership and
Teamwork)
Each learner did the group activity. They
made Semantic Web on the topic about
“LEADERSHIP”. They wrote all they know
what are the different characteristics and
attitudes should a leader possessed.
12. Class Reporting
(Through teamwork, they finished their
group activity in just 5 minutes. They come
up with various ideas and put it all together.
After that, they explain and discuss it in
front of their classmates.
15. Learners first attendance and
they were officially enrolled this
time. I felt their excitement to
learn new things and get to know
more about their classmates.

16. After discussions, we always had a short quiz or test about a certain topic in order to know how
far they have learned. Sometimes, I also given them Pre-test before the lectures.
17. There were times that I didn’t use the
traditional way of teaching, I used the
other way instead like Educational Film
Viewing at our house in Libertad,
Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte. I let them
watched some video clips about Learning
Strand topics downloaded from Youtube
that are essential for them to understand
more the lessons. I also able to showed to
them some vlogs uploaded in youtube
about a young boy that is one of an ALS
learner. He also took video while having
their class in ALS and emphasized the
important lesson he got from his ALS
Teacher. Through this, they will be
inspired and motivated to attend class
sessions.
They had a
summative test at our
temporary learning
area in Libertad.
Some preferred to be
seated in the bleacher
as long as they are
comfortable, I
allowed them to.
