Allah has many perfect attributes. He is the Creator of all that exists on Earth and in the heavens. He provides sustenance to whom He wills and tests mankind through what He has created. Allah is all-seeing and all-knowing. He has power over all things. The verses describe some of Allah's attributes like Him being the King, the Holy, the Giver of security, and the Supreme. Believers should have faith that Allah is sufficient for them in all affairs. Allah is Gracious and Kind to His slaves.

ﺎ ﺔﹰ ﱠﻟﺽ ﺯﹺﻳﻨﺎ ﻋﻠﹶﻰ ﺍﻟﹾﺄﹶﺭﺎ ﻣﺎ ﺟﻌﻠﹾﻨﺇﹺﻧ
ﻬ ﹺ
(18:7) ﻤﹰﺎ ﹶﺣﺴ ﹶ ﺒﹸﻮ
ﻠ ﻦ ﻋ ﻫﻢ ﺃﻳﻬﻢ ﺃ ﻠﻟﻨ
Verily! We have made
that which is on earth
as an adornment for
it, in order that We
may test them
(mankind) as to which
of them are best in
deeds. [18:7]

- 3. Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﺎﺀﻳﺸ ﻦﻤ ﻟﻕ ﹸ ﺍﻟﺮﺯ ﺒ ﻳﺑﻚﺇﹺﻥﱠ ﺭ ﺴﻂ ﺍ ﺧﹺﺒﲑﻩﺎﺩ ﹶﺎﻥﹶ ﹺﺑﻌ ﺇﹺ ﻳﻘﹾﺪﻭ ﺭ ﻧﻪ ﻛ ﺒ (17:30) ﺍ ﺑﺼ ﲑ Truly, your Lord enlarges the pro- vision for whom He wills and straitens (for whom He wills). Verily, He is Ever All-Knower, All-Seer of His slaves. [17:30] 23 24

Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻪﻨﺘﺄﻛﻠﹸﻮﺍﹾ ﻣ ﻟﺮﺒﺤ ﺍﻟﹾﺮ ﻱ ﺳ ﺍﱠﺬﻮﻭﻫ ﹾﹸ ﺨ ﻟ ﺔ ﺣﻠﹾﻴﻪﻮﺍﹾ ﻣﻨﺮﹺﺟﺘﺨﺗﺴﺎ ﻭﺎ ﻃﹶﺮﹺﻤﹶﻟﺤ ﹰ ﻳ ﻴﻪ ﻓﺮﺍﺧﻮ ﻣﻯ ﺍﹾﻟﻔﻠﻚﺮﺗﺎ ﻭﻬﻮﻧﺒﺴﺗﻠﹾ ﹸﹾ ﹶﻟﻌﱠ ﹸﻢ ﻭﻪﻦ ﻓﻀﻠ ﻮﺍﹾﺘﻐﺒﺘﻟﻭ ﻠﻜ ﻣ ﹶ (16:14) ﻭ ﹶ ﹸ ﺗ ﺸﻜﺮ ﻥ And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by trans- porting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. [16:14] 25 26

Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﺇﹺﱠﺎﻱ ﻟﹶﺎ ﹺﺇﻟﹶﻪ ﺍﱠﺬ ﺍﻟﱠﻪﻮﻫ ﻟ ﻠ ﻟ ﻭﺱ ﺍﹾﻟ ﹸ ﺍﻟﹾﻤﻠﻚﻮﻫ ﻘﺪ ﻣﻦﺆ ﺍﻟﹾﻤﺍﻟﺴﹶﺎﻡ ﻠ ﺎﺭ ﺍﹾﻟﺠ ﺰﹺﻳ ﺍﹾﻟﻌ ﻤﻴﻬﺍﻟﹾﻤ ﻦ ﺰ ﺒ ﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﱠﻠﻪﺒﺤ ﺮﻜﹶﺘ ﺍﻟﹾ ﻤ ﺒ ﺳ ﹶ (59:23) ﺮ ﹸﻮ ﹶ ﺎ ﻳ ﺸ ﹺﻛ ﻥ ﻋﻤ He is Allâh beside Whom Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be wor- shipped but He), the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allâh! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him. [59:23] 27 28

Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻗﹶﺪﺎﺱ ﹺﺇﻥ ﺍﻟ ﺎ ﺍﻟﻢ ﹶﺎﻝﹶ ﻟﹶﻳﻦ ﺍﱠ ﻟﺬ ﻗ ﻬ ﻨ ﺱ ﱠ ﻨ ﺎﻧﺎ ﺇﹺﳝﻢ ﺍﺩ ﻓﹶﺰﻢ ﻮ ﻓﹶﺎﺧﺸﻮﺍﹾ ﻟﹶ ﹸﻢﻤﻌﺟ ﹰ ﻫ ﻫ ﻜ (3:173) ﻴ ﹸ ﻢ ﺍﻟﻮ ﻧ ﺎ ﺍﻟﹼ ﻭ ﹶﺎﹸﻮﹾ ﺣ ﻛ ﻞ ﹾ ﺴﺒﻨ ﻠﻪ ﻭﹺﻌ ﻗ ﻟ ﺍ Those (i.e. believers) unto whom the people (hypocrites) said, "Verily, the people (pagans) have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them." But it (only) in- creased them in Faith, and they said: "Allâh (Alone) is Suffi- cient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us). [3:173] 29 30
- 7. Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻮﺎﺀ ﻭﻫﻳﺸ ﻦﻕ ﻣ ﺮ ﻳﺎﺩﻩﺒ ﹺﺑﻌ ﻴ ﹶﻟﻄﺍﻟﱠﻪ ﺯ ﻠ ﻒ (42:19) ﹺﻳ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻟ ﹶ ﹺ ﹾﻘﻮﻱ ﻌﺰ ﺰ Allâh is very Gracious and Kind to His slaves. He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the All-Strong, the All-Mighty. [42:19] 31 32

Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻨﹺﻲ ﺍﹾﻟﻐﻮ ﻫ ﺎﻧ ﺒ ﺍ ﻟﹶ ﻭﺬ ﺍﻟﹼﻪﺗﺨﻗﹶﺎﻟﹸﻮﺍﹾ ﺍ ﹶ ﻠ ﺪ ﺳﺤ ﻪ ﺽﻲ ﺍﻷَﺭﺎ ﻓ ﺍﺕ ﻭﺎﻭﻤ ﻲ ﺍﻟ ﺎ ﻣ ﻟﹶ ﹺ ﻣ ﻪ ﻓ ﺴ ـﺬﹶﺍ ﺑﹺﻬﻦ ﺳﻠﻄﹶﺎﻥ ﻨﺪ ﹸﻢﺇﹺﻥﹾ ﻋ ﹾ ﻛ ﻣ (10:68) ﻮ ﹶ ﺎ ﹶ ﺗﻌﹶ ﹶﺗ ﹸﻮﹸﻮ ﹶ ﻋﹶﻰ ﺍﻟﹼ ﻠﻤ ﻥ ﻠ ﻠﻪ ﻣ ﻻ ﺃ ﻘ ﻟ ﻥ They say: "Allâh has begotten a son (children)." Glory is to Him! He is Rich (Free of all needs). His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. No warrant you have for this. Do you say against Allâh what you know not . [10:68] 33 34

Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻦ ﻱ ﺧﻠﻘﹶ ﹸﻢ ﺍﱠﺬ ﺍﻟﻠﱠ ﹶ ﻜ ﻣ ﻪﻟ ﺪﺑﻌ ﻦ ﹸﻢ ﺟﻌﻞﹶ ﻣﻒﺿﻌ ﺛ ﻦ ﺟﻌﻞﹶ ﻣ ﺓ ﹸ ﻗﹸﻒﺿﻌ ﻮ ﹰ ﺛﻢ ﺒﺔﻴﺷ ﺿﻌﻔﹰﺎ ﻭﺓ ﻗﹸﺪﺑﻌ ﹰ ﻮ ﻮﺎﺀ ﻭﻫﻳﺸ ﺎ ﻣ ﻳﺨﻠ ﹸﻖ (30:54) ﻳ ﺍﻟ ﹶ ﻴﺍﻟﻌ ﻠ ﻢ ﹾﻘﺪ ﺮ ﹾ Allâh is He Who created you in (a state of) weakness, then gave you strength after weakness, then after strength gave (you) weakness and grey hair. He creates what He wills. And it is He Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful (i.e. Able to do all things). [30:54] 35 36

Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻱ ﻬﻳﻼﻡﹺ ﻭ ﺍﺭ ﺍﻟﻮ ﺇﹺﻟﹶﻰ ﺩﺪﻋ ﻳﺍﻟﹼﻪ ﹺ ﺴﹶ ﺪ ﻭﻠ (10:25) ﻴ ﹴ ﺘ ﻣ ﺍ ﺎﺀ ﹺﹶﻰ ﻦ ﻳ ﻘ ﻢﺴ ﺸ ﺇﻟ ﺻﺮ ﻁ ﻣ Allâh calls to the Home of Peace (i.e. Paradise, by accepting Allâh’s religion of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds and abstaining from polytheism and evil deeds) and guides whom He wills to the Straight Path. [10:25] 37 38
- 11. Allah’s Attributes Allah’s Attributes ﻦ ﻦ ﺳﻠﹶﺎﻟﹶﺔ ﺎﻥﹶﺎ ﺍﻟﹾﹺﻧﺴ ﺧﻠﻘﹾﻨﹶﻟﻘﹶﺪﻭ ﻣ ﻣ ﹶ ﺈ (23:12) ﻃ ﹴ ﲔ And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). [23:12] 39 40
