King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a large tree that was cut down by a messenger from heaven. Daniel interpreted the dream to mean that Nebuchadnezzar would lose his mind and live like an animal for seven years as punishment for his pride. Twelve months later, while boasting about his kingdom, Nebuchadnezzar immediately lost his mind as prophesied. After seven years, his sanity was restored and he praised God for his sovereignty. The story teaches that God humbles those who walk in pride.
