Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a large sandstone monolith and sacred Aboriginal site located in the Northern Territory of Australia. It was formed over 600 million years and rises 348 meters above the surrounding sandy plains. Uluru is considered the world's largest monolith and is pitted with holes, cracks and caves from its ancient formation. It is Australia's most famous natural landmark and an important sacred site for the Aboriginal people who have lived in the area for over 10,000 years.
