This document outlines the steps for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including opening the airway with head tilt and chin lift or jaw thrust maneuvers, giving breaths through mouth-to-barrier or mouth-to-mouth ventilation, using airway adjuncts like oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airways, performing mask ventilation with a bag valve mask using the C & E or double C & E technique, and inserting more advanced airways like oropharyngeal tubes, esophageal tracheal tubes, or endotracheal tubes with confirmation of proper placement. The target oxygen saturation when using an endotracheal tube is 94% or greater.
