pricing level options you chose in Milestone Two.
Income for January-actual activity based on price levels:
For example, if you chose a grooming price of $25 per groom, the actual grooms in January were 4 per day assuming a 30-day month.
If you chose. . . The actual # of grooms/daycare/kennel
Grooming price $25 4 grooms per day
Grooming price $30 3 grooms per day
Grooming price $35 2 grooms per day
Daycare price $18 22 dogs per day
Daycare price $20 12 dogs per day
Daycare price $25 9 dogs per day
Kennel price $25 12 dogs per day
Kennel price $28 9 dogs per day
Kennel price $30 6 dogs per day
You are required to formulate a 250-word argument for or against each of two of the following
controversial statements.
1. Work-life balance is only of importance to mothers
2. The economic benefits of modern slavery outweigh any reputational damage for firms
3. A person’s commitment to their job decreases as they age
4. A focus on managing diversity is incompatible with ensuring equality at work.
Briefly summarized, an argument includes:
An assertion which responds to your chosen statement
Reason(s) why this assertion should be accepted; and
Evidence for why the reason(s) are valid/ convincing
It is not enough to just assert something, say it is important, then add a reference. You will need to explain your reasoning behind your thinking and support that with evidence why that reason should be accepted as a good one.
In academic work, evidence is usually in the form of references to high quality research, statistics, or views from other reputable authorities (such as industry bodies or trade unions for example). You should include one list of references at the end of your two 250-word arguments. Remember you can complete this assignment to a high standard even if you do not feel sure of your personal position on the issue – think of the number of lawyers who know their client is guilty, but still mount a case for their innocence anyway!

Also, shutting down an organization for quite a while, no factor costs will be caused.
Accepting that Green Valley produces noodle, the organization will require unrefined components like sugar, different flavors, salt, flour, sodium bicarbonate, vegetable oils, and starch (Fu, 2008). On a similar note, the organization will without a doubt enlist work and concentrated machines to settle the item. In this way, the item should be bundled in very much planned bundles (Hyun et al., 2011). In this case, variable costing includes direct costs, work and unrefined substances. The presumption here is that Green Valley should buy material per bundle at Rs 2. It additionally needs to cater for the work in view of the piece rate framework where they offer five rupees for every parcel. Also, the organization needs to cause different backhanded costs incorporate 10,000 rupees for the creation site's lease. Creation gear is supposed to deteriorate (Del Giudice et al., 2016) with 20,000 rupees. In addition, the publicizing costs are 20,000 rupees, with sales rep commission costing three rupees for every bundle. Then again, Green Valley intends to deliver 10,000 bundles and charges 25 rupees for every parcel.
Based on the above information;
Total variable costs of manufacturing each packet = Direct Expenses + Labor + Materials= 2 + 5 + 2= 9 rupees for each packet.
The Total variable cost for distribution and selling costs for each packet = Labelling and packaging + Commission paid to the salesmen.= 5 + 2 = 5 Rupees for every packet.
Total variable cost for the noodles = 14 Rupees each packet
Total fixed manufacturing cost = compensation + Depreciation + Rent= 20, 000 + 20, 000 + 10, 000= 50, 000 Rupees.
Total fixed distribution as well as selling cost = Warehouse rent + Advertising= 20, 000 + 10, 000 = 30, 000 Rupees.
Total fixed cost = 80, 000 Rupees.

All my life I have had the desire to help young man I grew up in a f.docxrenatas0nie
All my life I have had the desire to help young man I grew up in a family where everyman have been to jail and I had many friends going to jail as well. I was the only one who hadnt experienced and the only one to become successful. I knew there had to be a way to help these men see life in a different way. this situation is important to me because this was all I knew growing up and if I could overcome the negativity I knew my positive would shine so that they could see there was another way and doing things another way of life. I behaved two different ways to the situation. the first way in which I behave was trying to fit in and be like which I grew up and was hanging with. since this was all I knew I wanted to fit it and to be liked, but after a while I started to realize that this isnt what life was about. my other behavioral response to the situation was knowing that life had more to offer than what I was getting. things didn't seem to be right when I was trying to do it that way when I realize that I could work a job and get an education to make a decent salary and prepare myself for a higher success, that's when things started to change within myself and people surrounding me. during the situation I was so confused on what was going on. A question that I asked myself over and over was why am I allowing myself to become a product of my environment. I had to think over and over on why it took much time for me to receive this answer during my thinking process I evaluated my pros and cons of the situation and realize my pros of being successful and A man out weighed my cons of taking chances of becoming some trouble adult t bound for Jail. Another formulated question was: how did I get myself in the situation? the answer was confirmed immediately, peer pressure was a big reason to how I got myself in this as stated before I long to fit in or be accepted by people who I didn't realize at the time meant me no good. of the nine strategies remaining the sixth strategy reshapping your character helped me in my decision-making because I realize what the problem was and what it was doing to me and my surroundings. it took maturity and hard experiences . another strategy is handling a problem a day at a time. this help me in the situation I was in because of the answers I was trying to figure it all out at once time which made it harder but once I applied the strategy , handling a problem one day at a time it made it easier and less stressful. Another situation that was emotionally significant to me was the death of my mother the death of my mother was important to me because she is my mother, my best friend it surprise me because it was a sudden-death it really came from nowhere she had been sick the month before but her pass it really threw me a curve ball. my behavior with her passing was very common like I said before she was my best friend she was all I had because my dad left when I was eight years old. so I watch my mom work hard r a.

Profiling: Leslie Hurtado
Leslie Hurtado’s passion for working in the media industry as a news anchor was sparked when she realized she wanted to follow her dream and (needs parallel structure here -: “to …”) a call for empathy and a voice for others less fortunate in the community. Her ambitions as a TV news anchor evolved due to her cultural heritage. Explain.
When asked what her zeal was, she replied, “I hate following the crowd because it makes one lose his sense of belonging and start imitating others,.” Leslie remarksshe said. “I am a unique person when surrounded by people who embrace me for who I am and for an unapologetic character.” Nice quote.
Leslie devoted much of her adolescence in learning English. Is she a native Spanish speaker? Wasn’t she born here? This makes it sounds like she may have come as a young child. “I feel great enthusiasm when working with it, whether in a casual or formal setting,.” she said. Studying in the USA particularly helped her gain key language and social skills. She gained ground for attaining a prospective career and a vigorous lifestyle as well.
Leslie's interest in journalism and media was not always present but was initiated by the school, where he was asked to write blogs and short articles on all-rounded relevant topics. “The thrill from writing did not make me feel self-assured or confident at that time,” she said.. Nonetheless, she was well-received, and that was the snowballing of her confidence in the language and creative writing. Ever since her confidence sprang out, Leslie has been regularly writing and posing articles in the school articles as well as a local newspaper, which altogether increased his her valuable experience.
Leslie is of Latino descent. Her grandparents migrated from Portugal to Chicago during the colonial era and war between Spanish and America to avoid violence. Interesting. Leslie's parents were born and raised in Chicago, but they still navigate their ethnic culture. How? Moreover, they regularly visit their ancestral home in Europe and Portugal, where they have roots. Does she go as well? Does she have any stories of this?
Leslie is a 23-year-old, ambitious, and courageous (no adjectives – show this to us) girl. She is majoring in English and literature with a core subject in communication and ethics and is expecting to graduate in fall 2020. When asked what her biggest investment would be, she says, “I am investing for a brighter future,” she said. Not the strongest quote’. About the families she says, Sshe does plan to have a baby with her husband someday. She possesses solid experience since because she has worked with many cChildcare centers, and interned at four media companies. “I have five or more years of experience,.” She asserts,”she said. “ This unclear calls for the reason to be empathetic?y and high ethics in the line of profession.

After reading the works listed above write an interpretive essay of .docxrenatas0nie
After reading the works listed above write an interpretive essay of 8-10 pages on the following topic:
The Madisonian model of government is hailed as a major contribution to political theory and to governing a large and diverse polity. As perhaps the first to advocate a pluralist system, James Madison and other Founders, created a constitutional system that attempted to institutionalize competing interests throughout the political system and thus create a system that not even a dictator could run affectively. The system they created reflected A. Hamilton's admonition that
"It is better not to pass any laws at all than to pass one bad one."
Suggestions for the essay:
1) Identify the components of the American political system that reflect the intentions of the Framers and evaluate how well they reflect the
pluralist model
of government.
2) Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the American political system. In doing so, consider the following questions: a) should a majority be able to pass quickly any piece of legislation it wants? Or should the process be more deliberate and take into consideration groups not part of the contemporary majority? b) Should policies be national in scope? Or should they reflect the conditions of the states? c) If you want quick policies that reflect the wishes of the majority, what changes would you make in the electoral and governmental systems?
3) Some argue that the American political system and the policymaking process, in fact, are more representative of the
elite model
of government. For example, Lindblom and Woodhouse in their seminal The Policymaking Process argue that the process reflects "
the pernicious effects
[of]
political inequality"
on the policy making process and,
"especially the possibility that policy ideas are systematically misshaped by the pro-business cultures of market-oriented democracies."
They further argue that,
"The ability of every contemporary democracy to probe social problems and policy options is systematically crippled, undermining both the extent of democracy and the degree of intelligence brought to bear in policy making."
Do you agree? What argument can you make to challenge their premises?
Explain
PS: try not to use the ideological "talking points" of any side. Try to think "out of the box." Creativity and originally will be greatly appreciated.

Describe how aging is viewed in one other country of your choice.
List 1-2 examples from the media that support how we view aging in the United States (i.e., Botox ads, etc.).
What is ageism? What can be done to deter this?
Apply symbolic interactionism to how we view aging.

To what advantage is the deliberate development of the perception of flawless beauty in our society? What disadvantage? 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Home and Office Product Exhibition : Analysing Sales and
Customer Relations
Introduction
Home and Office Product Exhibition (HOPE)specialises in
promoting and selling both (i) stand space at trade fairs and (ii)
tickets for visitors to trade fairs in Latrobe Valley, Gippsland
area. The company currently promotes and sells two different
sized stand spaces, to new or returning exhibitors, for a number
of Trade Fairs locally and overseas. HOPE alsoprovides a
number of additional value-added services to exhibitors for
fees, such as organising exhibitor stands, developing marketing
3. material for exhibitors to distribute at fairs, arranging travel
and/or accommodation for exhibitors, and hospitality/catering
for exhibitors to offer their customers attending the Exhibition.
HOPE also organise visitor tickets for the trade fairs, which
also provide commission income. All these activities are
managed through the efforts of a number of sales
representatives. The company’s founder, Ms IsabellaHunt, like
all small business owners, is always interested in finding ways
to increase revenues and decrease expenses.
Ms Hunt has recently hired you as her business analyst and
poses some operational-level questions about the performance
of her business. She is also eager to hear your thoughts and
ideas on how to improve the business and requiresyou to make
several
recommendations
on how to improve the company’s performance, especially in
relation to the following business objectives:
·
improving the sales strategy;
·
improving internal efficiencies and effectiveness; and
·
building strong lasting relationships with its customers.
Ms Hunt has provided you with latest sales information in
the“ITECH1005_assignment_data.xlsx” file. The data needs to
be analysed and visualised to help observations related to the
business operation and its shortcomings.
The data worksheet “Sales” contains collected information of
the consultancy’s operationsinthe current year. Thesedetails
included:
·
Date and Day(of customer order),
4. ·
Trade Fair
·
Customer (i.e. exhibiting company)
·
space sold (sq.m.)
·
Sales Representative
·
time spent by Sales Representative to complete sale
·

·
Exhibitor travel organised?
·
Exhibitor accommodation organised?
·
Exhibitor marketing material organised?
·
Exhibitor hospitality organised?
·

Fee (AUD)
Exhibitor stand organised
1500
Exhibitor travel arrangements
250
Exhibitor accommodation arrangements
200
Exhibitor marketing material organised

Each sales representative receives 15% of the total value added
services for corresponding transactions. The data worksheet
“Exhibitions” contains collected information of the Trade Fairs
over the past decade. These details included:
·
Exhibition
·
Year
·
space available for HOPE to sell to exhibitors (sq.m.)
·
Visitor tickets sold by HOPE
·
Total Profit for HOPE
HOPE receives a fee ($5) for each Exhibition visitor ticket sold
through its Sales Representatives. HOPE pays $1 per ticket to
6. the corresponding sales representative. This historical
information is summarised in the “Exhibitions” worksheet as a
summation of all Sales Representative ticket sales.
The company receives different rates of ‘commissions’(i.e. fees)
for selling space to companies exhibiting at the various fairs.
The exhibition managers charge $175 per square meter for floor
space. HOPE receives commission according to the following
table.
Commission Received
Space Sold
Rate (% of sale amount)
New Exhibitor (large)
>= 20 sq.m.
18
New Exhibitor (small)
< 20 sq.m.
15
Returning Exhibitor (large)
>= 20 sq.m.
10
Returning Exhibitor (small)
< 20 sq.m.
7
HOPE thenpays commissions to the Sales Representatives for
selling the space to those exhibiting companies. Each
representative also receives $15 for each hour of their service
on the weekdays and $20 per hour in the weekends. The
following tables describe how these commissions are calculated:
Commission Paid
Space Sold
Rate (% of commission received)
New Exhibitor (large)
>= 20 sq.m.
30
New Exhibitor (small)
< 20 sq.m.
7. 25
Returning Exhibitor (large)
>= 20 sq.m.
15
Returning Exhibitor (small)
< 20 sq.m.

On an average HOPE spends 50% of each sale as management
salary, office rent, utilities, transportation and maintenance.
Calculations (All Students):

Sales Representative. Use Pivot Table(s) and appropriate
graph(s)/chart(s) to summarise these calculations.
e)
Changes to profitability over the past decade, including 2015
figures, sub-totalled by each Trade Fair. Use an appropriate
graph/chart to summarise these changes.
8. Ms Hunt requires you to make observations to help her with the
following questions.
Observations (All students):
f)
Who are
HOPE
’s five best and five worst customers by total sales? Use an
appropriate table and graph/chart to summarise these
observations.
g)
What are
HOPE
’s best and worst value-added services by total profit? Use an
appropriate table and graph/chart to summarise these
observations.
h)
What are
HOPE
’s best and worst Trade Fairs by total profit? Use an appropriate
table and graph/chart to summarise these observations.
i)
What would happen to profits if the rate of pay to Sales
Representatives for hours worked on sales was increased by
50%? Use an appropriate table and graph/chart to summarise
these calculations.
Observations (ITECH5005 Students Only):
j)
What are the best Sales Representative’s best- and worst-selling
services (by total profit)? Use an appropriate table and
graph/chart to summarise these calculations.
k)
9. What would happen to profits if the amount of space required to
be sold to change the scale of commission paid was changed
from 20 sq.m. to (a) 25 sq.m. and (b) 30 sq.m. Use an
appropriate table and graph/chart to summarise these
calculations.
Ms Hunt also requires you to make recommendations
concerning the following business-level questions.
Recommendations (All Students):
l)
Should
HOPE
focus on any particular (a) customer(s), (b) Trade Fairs, and (c)
particular sales activities in future, and why?
m)
What are your recommendations for resolving any data
redundancy issues observed in the workbook?
n)
What are your recommendation regarding what other data
should be collected to improve decision making for
HOPE
?
o)
What are your recommendation regarding record-keeping to
improve the quality of data collection and management?
Recommendations (ITECH5005 Students Only):
p)
What changes should
HOPE
make regarding any currently employed Sales
Representative(s), or to the fees paid to the Sales
10. Representatives, and why?
Ms Hunt has asked you to provide her with the details of how
you have accomplished these tasks. Therefore, you
must
include the functions and the formulae you’ve used in your
analyses, and not simply report the answers. Create a new
worksheet in the assignment workbook called “Calculations” to
provide Ms Hunt with these calculations and summations.
As a paid consultant, your submission to Ms Hunt
must
be professionally presented;all analyses, calculations and
summaries in the Excel file
must
have headings and be supported with explanatory notes; and the
formal business report
must
be preceded by a ‘covering letter’ (i.e. incorporate letter as
first page of your Word document with your report on following
pages).
Note: All recommendations in your report must be clearly
justified (e.g. include charting or refer to specific
analyses/summaries from the Excel spreadsheet).
Some Hints
The business options are linked to a number of questions posed
by Ms Hunt. Your role is to answer these specific questions and
to support your answers with your data analysis as presented in
the appropriate tables and charts. Ensure that your
recommendations address the company’s objectives, and that
they are clearly linked to your observations.
There is no ‘ideal’ or ‘best’ way of doing this project. You’ll be
assessed on your insight of the data, on your ability to make
observations by analysing (with formulas) and visualising (with
charts) your data, and your ability to link your observations to
business issues.
There are numerous Microsoft Excel facilities and functions
11. that may be useful in this project. While planning your
workbook, and especially the observations, you may wish to
reviewthe tutorials on the related topics (e.g. Excel functions,
absolute and relative cell referencing, formatting, chartings
andmanaging large worksheets, as well as on the analysis of
Excel data and drawingrecommendations).
The Excel workbook contains all the necessary data for your
assignment. However, you need to make sure the records
included in the worksheets are not faulty or inaccurate (e.g.
missing data) to avoid errors in calculations.
You will very likely need to analyses beyond the assessable
tasks to gain sufficient insight into the business operations to
provide recommendations to Ms Hunt. Include any additional
analyses or summaries on the calculations worksheet.
You might check the space available and compare it to the space
sold this year.
Make sure you review the marking guide, to ensure you
complete all required tasks before submission.
Assignment Assessment
The questions posed to you in this assignment range from easy,
through medium to challenging. However, it is expected that all
students will succeed in all the tasks. Some of the tasks are very
similar to those covered in tutorials and the associated
exercises. Some of the challenging tasks may rely on insight
that requires self-directed study (e.g. using help facilities in
Excel to explore in depth some of the topics covered in the
tutorials).
This assignment is worth 30% of total marks for this course and
will be marked on:
·
your demonstrated understanding of the problems;
·
completeness of the tasks;
·
12. exploration of the features in Microsoft Office; and
·
quality of the submission (Excel workbook & Word document).
Submission
All students are required to submit two (2) files for this
assignment, via Moodle, prior to the due date and time.
