This document outlines different movie rating systems and what content each rating allows or restricts. The Universal rating means a movie has no offensive content and is suitable for all ages. Parental guidance means a family member approves a movie's content for a child. 12 and 12A ratings require a minimum age but may have mild language or themes. 15, 18, and 18 Restricted ratings have increasing restrictions on violence, language, drug use and sexual content and require older minimum viewer ages. The author's movie would receive a 15+ rating for violence, language and a sexual scene.

1. Universal
This means that its not got any offensive
sexual or nudity in the movie which could
scar or offend anyone meaning its watchable
by any age and any culture.

2. Parental guidance
This is viewable by anyone if approved by a
member of family or older who wishes to
allow there child know about certain
subjects which may go on within the movie.

3. 12 & 12A
12 is a movie which is for 12yr olds and
upwards. 12A is a movie which needs an
adult opinion due to the movie having a
potential swear word e.g. F***.

4. 15 Rating
Content which is not to be shown to
people below the age of 15 as it
consists of any kind of drugs , sexual,
swearing or types of violence.

5. 18+ Rating
These are movies which are only suitable for
mature adults as they consist of swearing
blood gore nudity and offensive material
which means that younger views shouldn’t
be able to view such content .

6. 18 Restricted
This is content which can not be displayed just
anywhere special requirements are needed to
be able to sell or broadcast the movies these
often consist of adult material of sexual intent
e.g. fetishes or people having sex.

7. My movie rating
15+ rated as its going to involve violence, swearing and
a sexual scene. It also is an action movie which
involves fighting which means which wouldn’t be
viewable for people below the age of 15 it cant be
view able at all to below ages.
