Advertising is a form of
marketing communication used
to promote or sell something,
Usually a business’s product or
service.
In Latin, ad vertere means “to
turn toward”. The purpose of
advertising may also be to
reassure employees or
shareholders that a company is
viable or successful. Advertising
messages are usually paid for
by sponsored viewed via
various old media: including
Commercial adds seek to
generate increased
consumptions of their products
or services through “branding,”
which associates a product
name or image with certain
qualities in the minds of
consumers. Non-commercial
advertisers who spend money
to advertise items other than a
consumer product or service
include political parties,
interests groups, religious
organizations and governmental
agencies. Non-profit
organizations may use free
modes of persuasion, such as
public service announcements
STEPS IN CREATING AN ADVERTISEMENT:
1. Brief the product or service which has to be
advertised
2. Know the objective or the purpose of
advertising
3. Find out the market behavior, know the
competitors, the response of the consumers, and
the availability of the resources needed
4. Identify the target consumers that most likely
buy the product
5. Select an appropriate media for advertisement
6. Plan the advertisement budget to avoid
shortage or excess of funds
7. Design and create the advertisement with the
help of art directors and the creative personnel of
the agency
8. Examine the created ad to make it perfect to
enter the market
9. Decide where and when the ad will be shown
10. The advertisement will be released in the
market with perfection
11. Judge the performance of the ad
