After the verb ( when there is no object)

3. Form
Many adverbs of manner are formed from
adjectives + ly
(‘Quick’ – ‘Quickly’)
Adjectives that end in –l make the –l
double
(‘Beautiful’ – ‘Beautifully’)
Adjectives that end in –y drop the
-y and add –ily
(‘Easy’ – ‘Easily’)
Adjectives that end in –ic or –ical add –
ally
(‘Scientific’ – ‘Scientifically’)
