Adverbs are often used to describe or provide more information about verbs, especially verbs that describe actions. Adverbs of manner commonly appear after action verbs to specify how something is done or happens. Some common rules for forming adverbs of manner from adjectives include adding "-ly", changing the ending of adjectives ending in "y" to "i" and adding "-ly", or adding "-ally" to adjectives ending in "c". However, some adverbs of manner are irregular and do not follow these patterns.
