2. RULES For most adjectives, add –ly
Patient - patiently
For adjectives ending in y change the y to i
and add –ly
easy - easily
For adjectives ending in c, add –ally
automatic - automatically
Some adverbs of manner are irregularas that is
that they don{t end in –ly
good – well
Some irregular adverbs have the same form as
the adjective
fast - fast
3. ADJECTIVES
Adjectives are used to describe or give more
information about nouns or pronouns.
They often become before nouns.
They also come after the verbs
BE, GET, FEEL, SEEM, SOUND to describe
states, feelings and senses.
I get impatient (not I get impatiently)
However when fell means “TO HAVE AN
OPINION ABOUT” it is followed by an adverb
