2. ADVERBS
• Lets us walk quick.
• The lake is Usually still.
• I can see the pebbles in the lake very clearly.
An adverb is a Word that modifies a verb, and adjective or
another adver.

3. POSITIVE DEGREE OF COMPARISON
Is a term that relates to adjectives and adverbs. An adjective
adverb that does not make a comparison is said to be in the
positive degree.
• adjectives: rich, pretty, handsome, good
• adverbs: slowly, beautifully
EXAMPLE:
This student is beautifully good.

4. COMPARATIVE DEGREE OF COMPARISON
To use the comparative degree you must place the MOST before the adverb wich end in
/ly, for example:
• Could you sing more quietly please?
• Sofia paints more beautifully than Andrea.

In the case of short adverbs that do
not end in /ly, the comparative /er is
added to form the comparative for
example:
• Jim works harder than his brother.
• Walk faster we are late

6. Superlative degree of comparison
My mom is cooks quickest of all
The superlative degree allows compare more of two
things, elements or people, in this example mi mom
outperfom other people.
