MAJOR RESPOSIBILITIES AND MY ACHIEVEMENTS
 Programs and Update Master Preventive Maintenance plans for assigned facilities includingupdatingequipment
records in Maximo 7.1, checkingmaterials and labors availability, issuing schedules, followingup on completed work
and controllingthe inputdata to the system. Being a keen Planner and strategist, with my Proactiveactions, and better
coordination and control, I could deliver most realistic scheduleand budget strivingto the set targets and also Monitor
and control the work execution, to see the work is executed as per Plan, checking for any backlogs and explore
remedial actions to keep itwithin the agreed targets. I studied and reworked various existingconventional “brick and
mortar” practices and introduced various improvements.
 Study and analyzethe Activities involved in Maintenanceof each unique assets in the system at site including Time
study to calculatethe Man-hours Required, spareconsumption, Special tools, mandatory safety requirements and thus
Prepare the Unique Job plans for each Unique Assets and incorporatethose in CMMS.Here I was initiatingand
coordinatingmeetings with MaintenanceEngineers and Supervisors to get the Expert Judgment to develop most
optimized Jobplan, that aremore cost effective without compromisingon Quality.
 Design and outlinethe stores material transaction process and guideStores department in conducting spare
transaction by ensuringall transactionsaremade through Maximo, maintaininginventory in accordancewith Spare
forecastgiven by us (Planning) as per Maintenance and operational requirements at site.I played a key rolein
implementing Maximo process in stores in contrastto the conventional procedures. I initiated the cataloguingof all
unique spares with unique Maximo ID, created virtual stores in Maximo, set the inventory, in max levels in Maximo,
created alert that will pop up for items that are goingbelow min level so that procurement can be initiated for
replenishing, thus makingstores department transparentand disciplined.I havealso initiated the process of Material
and consumablereservation for preventive maintenance so that anticipated materials a realready reserved thus making
things easy. Also guided workshop department in prefabricatingstuffs required for maintenance, outlined a store to
workshop and back rotatingitem transaction in Maximo.
 Study and analyzethe O&M new projectproposal to the organization and to prepare estimate of resource
requirements (Manpower and Material) thus to help the management in tendering. I was the lead in preparingsuch
documents for the new projects likeAX399, SP2020 etc. and actively involved in the contract preparation and
negotiation of various PerformanceKPI s alongwith our management and clientmanagement.
 Study the impacton the system when itis shutdown for maintenance and informthe Operations Team well ahead.
 Calculation and continuous monitoringof MTBF and MTTR of all the assets.I played key rolein formulating these
assetO&M Parameters for our assets and systems and implemented a continuous monitoringtool that could alarmif
these MTBF and MTTR values exceeds beyond a limit.
 Identify, analyzeand review Hotspot assets (Assets with repetitive Breakdowns) on monthly basis.By Introducingtools
likeFive-Why Analysistechniques, and conductingbrainstormingsessionswith the team to arriveinto the root causeof
each issueand addressingit and fixingit. Thus I spearheaded in optimizingthe system by various Kaizen promotions
and there by bringingenormous costsavings to the company, which otherwise was an untouched area.
 Ensuringstaff are properly trained and providingguidanceto subordinates as required.I noticed the requirement of
additional trainingto the field staff to promote quality work atsite was addressed to the management, convinced and
approved with a formal trainer and trainingsetup, and coordinated the these trainingsessions.Maximo trainingto all
the staff was given by me.
 Initiateand coordinatewith Maintenance support team, the Reliability Team and other experts, the studies to review
the standard procedures, maintenance frequencies of various assets with reliability tools like FMECA, to understand
the criticalities and thus costevaluation for assets.I was a key team player in these studies by providingcomplete asset
data history (historical information’s of assets in the past) and failureanalysisstudiesdonebefore and other necessary
inputs and we developed evolved into the new Extended Maintenance Regime, an RCM Strategy from the previous
OEM strategy, with huge cost savingby maintaining thereliability.
 Conduct Focus and studies on System Reliability and promote Continuous Improvement. I was involved in initiating
many such kind of Improvements on system based on reliability studies. For example Introduction of new Guide rail, for
one of our assetcalled Merge conveyor was one such kind, which otherwise was a major cost eater.
 Promotes and champions the HSE goal of Zero Incidents.
 Issuingmaintenancemonthly Report and Presentation with KPI reports and statistics to the management. I utilized this
session by highlightingkey issues which required immediate management attention and was successful in getting
immediate approvalsand correctiveactions.
 Conducts Business Analysis with pastdata from CMMS (Maximo) and supportingthe strategic Planningand Business
Development Team with the result.I am a reliablebusinessanalystto the management, in providing ,high level status
reports which explains where do we stand today, what areour future plans, where do we struggle, and what corrective
actions can be taken and also whatstrategic Planningis required to optimize and enhance the business.I have
developed various automated report tools with VBA Codes, so that essential reports are made easily.
 CMMS (Maximo) Management, rightfrom Administration, workflowdevelopment and necessary amendment,
Coordinatingthe ASSET, MANPOWER, MATERIAL, Data Preparations for Maximo and Uploadinginto it, directingdata
Input Quality fromsite, Conducting Maximo Quality Audits and suggestingcorrective actions.I was the key person in
the implementation of new Dubai airports(Client)Maximo 7.1 in our BHS System, right from initial startingstagetill
streamliningthe process ,includingAssetdata,PM data,all infrastructures,workflow designs,licenses,Management
(BIRT) reports, impartingstaff trainingto the new interface and all other necessary things.
 Develop Process, procedures and policies for the BHS system in Dubai airports in accordancewith Dubai airports
process, and incorporatingitin Maximo and impartingtrainingfor the same to the staff and bri ngitinto execution at
site.
Key Achievement
Improved the existing Maintenance Pattern therebyreducing the Maintenance headcount and Increased Cost Savings
We were havinga Maintenance team with Dedicated Supervisor,24*7,workingon shiftbasis(2 SHIFTS 06:00 TO 18:00 AND
18:00 TO 06:00), as our operations is highly Airportpassenger peak driven which is daily intermittent sessionsfor 3 to 4
hours, which occurs early morning, afternoon and midnight, we are forced to stop our maintenance activities atthis period
of time ,which was a huge man-hour wastage to the Organization,so I formulated a new pattern of Maintenance timing of
(10:00 to 22:00) ,where both Day shiftas well as nightshiftstaff would come together and do the maintenance in this
particulartimeinterval which avoid the morning as well as midnightmaintenance disruption, and the only afternoon
disruption which would be nullified with Lunch break of the team. This was smoothly implemented and we observed
increased efficiency from staff due to uninterrupted time window for the Maintenance, improved quality was observed and
huge savings to the organization by reducingthe headcounts.

VARIABLE COMPRESSION RATIO (VCR) ENGINE
This project was qualified 2nd in the , for the OVERSEAS SCHOLORSHIP, TOKYO
We developed a VCR engine by varying the clearance volume. The variation in the clearance volume was obtained by moving
the cylinder head. The cylinder head is adjusted by a leverage mechanism which can be done manually. The compression ratio
of the engine varies from 9 to 12. The pollution test was conducted at different compression ratios, different speeds and load
test was carried out at constant speed for different compression ratios. The results show improvement in part load efficiency
and reduction in CO and HC emissions.

Being a keen Planner and strategist, with my Proactiveactions, and better coordination and control, I could deliver most realistic scheduleand budget strivingto the set targets and also Monitor and control the work execution, to see the work is executed as per Plan, checking for any backlogs and explore remedial actions to keep itwithin the agreed targets. I studied and reworked various existingconventional “brick and mortar” practices and introduced various improvements.  Study and analyzethe Activities involved in Maintenanceof each unique assets in the system at site including Time study to calculatethe Man-hours Required, spareconsumption, Special tools, mandatory safety requirements and thus Prepare the Unique Job plans for each Unique Assets and incorporatethose in CMMS.Here I was initiatingand coordinatingmeetings with MaintenanceEngineers and Supervisors to get the Expert Judgment to develop most optimized Jobplan, that aremore cost effective without compromisingon Quality.  Design and outlinethe stores material transaction process and guideStores department in conducting spare transaction by ensuringall transactionsaremade through Maximo, maintaininginventory in accordancewith Spare forecastgiven by us (Planning) as per Maintenance and operational requirements at site.I played a key rolein implementing Maximo process in stores in contrastto the conventional procedures. I initiated the cataloguingof all unique spares with unique Maximo ID, created virtual stores in Maximo, set the inventory, in max levels in Maximo, created alert that will pop up for items that are goingbelow min level so that procurement can be initiated for replenishing, thus makingstores department transparentand disciplined.I havealso initiated the process of Material and consumablereservation for preventive maintenance so that anticipated materials a realready reserved thus making things easy. Also guided workshop department in prefabricatingstuffs required for maintenance, outlined a store to workshop and back rotatingitem transaction in Maximo.  Study and analyzethe O&M new projectproposal to the organization and to prepare estimate of resource requirements (Manpower and Material) thus to help the management in tendering. I was the lead in preparingsuch documents for the new projects likeAX399, SP2020 etc. and actively involved in the contract preparation and negotiation of various PerformanceKPI s alongwith our management and clientmanagement.  Study the impacton the system when itis shutdown for maintenance and informthe Operations Team well ahead.  Calculation and continuous monitoringof MTBF and MTTR of all the assets.I played key rolein formulating these assetO&M Parameters for our assets and systems and implemented a continuous monitoringtool that could alarmif these MTBF and MTTR values exceeds beyond a limit.  Identify, analyzeand review Hotspot assets (Assets with repetitive Breakdowns) on monthly basis.By Introducingtools likeFive-Why Analysistechniques, and conductingbrainstormingsessionswith the team to arriveinto the root causeof each issueand addressingit and fixingit. Thus I spearheaded in optimizingthe system by various Kaizen promotions and there by bringingenormous costsavings to the company, which otherwise was an untouched area.  Ensuringstaff are properly trained and providingguidanceto subordinates as required.I noticed the requirement of additional trainingto the field staff to promote quality work atsite was addressed to the management, convinced and approved with a formal trainer and trainingsetup, and coordinated the these trainingsessions.Maximo trainingto all the staff was given by me.  Initiateand coordinatewith Maintenance support team, the Reliability Team and other experts, the studies to review the standard procedures, maintenance frequencies of various assets with reliability tools like FMECA, to understand the criticalities and thus costevaluation for assets.I was a key team player in these studies by providingcomplete asset
  • 4. data history (historical information’s of assets in the past) and failureanalysisstudiesdonebefore and other necessary inputs and we developed evolved into the new Extended Maintenance Regime, an RCM Strategy from the previous OEM strategy, with huge cost savingby maintaining thereliability.  Conduct Focus and studies on System Reliability and promote Continuous Improvement. I was involved in initiating many such kind of Improvements on system based on reliability studies. For example Introduction of new Guide rail, for one of our assetcalled Merge conveyor was one such kind, which otherwise was a major cost eater.  Promotes and champions the HSE goal of Zero Incidents.  Issuingmaintenancemonthly Report and Presentation with KPI reports and statistics to the management. I utilized this session by highlightingkey issues which required immediate management attention and was successful in getting immediate approvalsand correctiveactions.  Conducts Business Analysis with pastdata from CMMS (Maximo) and supportingthe strategic Planningand Business Development Team with the result.I am a reliablebusinessanalystto the management, in providing ,high level status reports which explains where do we stand today, what areour future plans, where do we struggle, and what corrective actions can be taken and also whatstrategic Planningis required to optimize and enhance the business.I have developed various automated report tools with VBA Codes, so that essential reports are made easily.  CMMS (Maximo) Management, rightfrom Administration, workflowdevelopment and necessary amendment, Coordinatingthe ASSET, MANPOWER, MATERIAL, Data Preparations for Maximo and Uploadinginto it, directingdata Input Quality fromsite, Conducting Maximo Quality Audits and suggestingcorrective actions.I was the key person in the implementation of new Dubai airports(Client)Maximo 7.1 in our BHS System, right from initial startingstagetill streamliningthe process ,includingAssetdata,PM data, all infrastructures, workflow designs, licenses,Management (BIRT) reports, impartingstaff trainingto the new interface and all other necessary things.  Develop Process, procedures and policies for the BHS system in Dubai airports in accordancewith Dubai airports process, and incorporatingitin Maximo and impartingtrainingfor the same to the staff and bri ngitinto execution at site. Key Achievement Improved the existing Maintenance Pattern therebyreducing the Maintenance headcount and Increased Cost Savings We were havinga Maintenance team with Dedicated Supervisor,24*7,workingon shiftbasis(2 SHIFTS 06:00 TO 18:00 AND 18:00 TO 06:00), as our operations is highly Airportpassenger peak driven which is daily intermittent sessionsfor 3 to 4 hours, which occurs early morning, afternoon and midnight, we are forced to stop our maintenance activities atthis period of time ,which was a huge man-hour wastage to the Organization,so I formulated a new pattern of Maintenance timing of (10:00 to 22:00) ,where both Day shiftas well as nightshiftstaff would come together and do the maintenance in this particulartimeinterval which avoid the morning as well as midnightmaintenance disruption, and the only afternoon disruption which would be nullified with Lunch break of the team. This was smoothly implemented and we observed increased efficiency from staff due to uninterrupted time window for the Maintenance, improved quality was observed and huge savings to the organization by reducingthe headcounts. Software worked with 1.Maximo 7.1(IBM) 2.Advanced excel 3. VBA
