ADDING +ING
 * If the verb ends in e, drop –e and add –ing:
 Dance dancing
 Save saving
 Live living
 If a verb ends in –ie, change the –ie to –y
and add –ing.
 Lie lying
 Die dying
 If a verb ends in –y , just add –ing, it’s not
important if there´s a vowel or consonant
before –y.
 Study studying
 Play playing
 If a verb ends in one vowel + one consonant,
double the final consonant and add –ing.
 Chat chatting
 Beg begging
 Run running
 If a verb ends in vowel or consonant add –
ing:
 Go going
Walk walking
Eat eating
NEVER USE STATE VERBS WITH -ING NEVER USE –ING WITH SENSE VERBS
