Ofqual Addendum NVQ Code of Practice 2006 sets out the updates and changes to the NVQ Code of Practice 2006. It is a guide to inform all those working within the sector of changes made to the guidelines and information.

1. Addendum to NVQ code of practice 2006

The Learning and Development National Occupational Standards have been revised
and new qualifications introduced. The qualification regulators will now recognise
qualifications accredited against these standards as meeting the assessor and
verifier qualification requirements set out in the NVQ Code of Practice.

The following qualifications are also acceptable for assessors



Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
Assessors must carry out assessment to the National Occupational Standards for
Learning and Development (March 2010) Standard 9.
Para 50
The following qualifications are also acceptable for internal verifiers


Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and
Practice
Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
Processes and Practice
Internal verifiers must carry out internal verification to the National Occupational
Standards for Learning and Development (March 2010) Standard 11
Para 71
The following qualifications are also acceptable for external verifiers
Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice


Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes
and Practice
Level 4 Certificate in Leading the External Quality Assurance of Assessment
Processes and Practice
External verifiers must carry out external verification to the National Occupational
Standards for Learning and Development (March 2010) Standard 12.
