I am an enthusiastic, focused and motivated Estimator in the Mechanical/Metal Fabrication engineering
sector. I have specialist knowledge and experience in preparing technical and commercial tenders for the
design, manufacture, inspection and delivery of various types of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers, Fin
Fans, Pressure Vessels, Tanks and Pipework for both onshore and offshore applications covering a wide
range of materials from Carbon Steel to exotic metals.
I consider myself to be a good communicator with proven inter personal skills who thrives both when
working alone or as part of a team. I am used to working in challenging and highly pressurised working
environments. I deal with issues in a resourcefulmanner and have excellent time management skills.
I am currently interested in finding new and exciting opportunities with new challenges to broaden both
my experience and knowledge within the mechanical engineering industry or in other similar industries.

I was promoted from the position of Technical Clerk to my current role as Estimator in January 2014. My
duties as an estimator include:
 Managing the enquiry databases and keeping logs of all incoming enquiries.
 Understanding and interpreting various types of Isometric drawings.
 Assessing and costing all aspects of thermal design, mechanical design (PD 5500 Etc), PED,
fabrication and inspection of Shell and Tube type heat exchangers, Fin –Fan Heat Exchangers,
Tanks, pressure vessels, pipework and specialist items Manufactured to ISO 9001 Standards.
 Producing Bill of materials and hour norm sheets in order to determine overall cost.
 Conducting Site Visits.
 Producing detailed Fabrication programs.
 Preparing Commercial and Technical Tenders for various national and international clients.

This was my first role within the engineering industry and one that taught me a great deal about
engineering in general. My duties as a Technical Clerk included:
 Populating Client QA Packs.
 Dealing with client enquiries.
 Producing Workforce timesheets.
 Working with detailed design Isometrics to produce Norm sheets and Cut lists to be issued to
the workshop floor.
 Inputting and logging detailed engineering information in a database.
 Assisting the QA manager and Welding Inspectors with QA admin duties and logging NDE
reports.
Freelance Location Sound Recordist
July 2010 – Jan 2014 (Sporadic)
After graduating from University in summer 2010 I began working as a freelance Location Sound
Recordist and Camera Assistant in the Broadcast TV industry, working for Clients such as ITV, BBC,
Channel 4 and Crime and Investigation network. I learnt a huge amount during my time in this career,
primarily skills in dealing with people and working to tight deadlines under huge amounts of pressure.
These skills have helped me progress further in my chosen career to date.

Permission for Aerial Work (Pfaw) license which allows me to fly unmanned aerial vehicles
commercially within the UK and Europe for the purposes of aerial cinematography, photography and
Video/3D surveying.
