Acts 21 1 And it came to pass, that after we were
gotten from them (Ephesian elders), and had
launched, we came with a straight course unto
Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and
from thence unto Patara: 2 And finding a ship
sailing over unto Phoenicia, we went aboard, and
set forth.

                                                    2
3
3 Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it
on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed
at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden.
4 And finding disciples, we tarried there seven

days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he
should not go up to Jerusalem.

 Warning of troubles to come
Paul had had a number of these warnings, but
as he put it "None of these things move me."
                                           Acts 20:22-24

                                                     4
5 And when we had accomplished those (7) days,
we departed (from Tyre) and went our way; and
they all brought us on our way, with wives and
children, till we were out of the city: and we
kneeled down on the shore, and prayed. 6 And
when we had taken our leave one of another, we
took ship; and they returned home again.

It's always appropriate to pray.
In one week Paul had made many friends in the city
of Tyre; they went to the ship to see him off.

                                                 5
7 And when we had finished
our course from Tyre, we
came to Ptolemais, and
saluted the brethren, and
abode with them one day.
8 And the next day we that

were of Paul's company
departed, and came unto
Caesarea: and we entered into
the house of Philip the
evangelist, which was one of
the seven; and abode with
him.
                                6
9 Andthe same man had four daughters, virgins,
which did prophesy. Let's see some history.
Acts 8 2 And devout men carried Stephen to his
burial, and made great lamentation over him. 3 As
for Saul (Apostle Paul), he made havoc of the
church, entering into every house, and haling men
and women committed them to prison. 4 Therefore
they that were scattered abroad went everywhere
preaching the Word. 5 Then Philip went down to the
city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

             Great Revival! 7
Acts 8 26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto
Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto
the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto
Gaza, which is desert. 27 And he arose and went:
and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great
authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians,
who had the charge of all her treasure, and had
come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was returning,
and sitting in his chariot read Esaias (Isaiah) the
prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go
near, and join thyself to this chariot.

                                                 8
The Eunuch was saved and baptized.
Acts 8 39 And when they were come up out of the
water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip,
that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on
his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at
Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the
cities, till he came to Caesarea.
He settled there, married a wife, had children,
and raised them to be Christians.
Four of his daughters had never married, but
dedicated themselves to God --
                                                 9
Philip has stayed in Caesarea for about 20 years,
and lived for God all that time.
God has given him and his family a good life.
There is no doubt that they are active in the church.
Do you see what God can do when a man is settled
in the Ways of God, obedient to the Scriptures.
                                                 Joy

Proverbs 4 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out
of it are the issues of life. 24 Put away from thee a
froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids

look straight before thee. 26 Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. 27 Turn not to the
right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Froward and perverse have similar meanings and
include stubborn, contrary, behaving contrarily to
what is good and in your own best interests.

Out of the heart are the issues of life.
In other words, the kind of life we have flows out
of the condition of our heart, which is revealed by
Our mouths, our eyes, our behavior.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Let us look straight ahead on the Path of God for
our lives, guarding our mouths, and walking
carefully in the steps God has ordered.
