Implant stability plays a critical role for successful osseointegration, which has been viewed as a direct structural and functional connection existing between bone and the surface of a load-carrying implant. Achievement and maintenance of implant stability are prerequisites for successful clinical Outcome. Therefore, measuring the implant stability is an important method for evaluating the success of an implant. The aim of this clinical study was to measure the implant stability quotient using a method called resonance frequency analysis of dental implants during the healing period.
Material and methods: A number of 43 patients received 152 Shark AL-Technology implant system either in the maxillary or in the mandibular arch. Implant stability was measured with an Osstell Mentor device (Osstel, AB, Sweden) using the resonance frequency analysis at the time of implant placement, 0, 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks post insertion.

Introduction: Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) has been a very successful surgery in relieving pain and restoring function in osteoarthritis. Conflicting evidence in literature exists regarding the merits of patellar resurfacing during TKA over non-resurfacing. Our aim is to evaluate and compare the difference between patellar resurfaced group and non-resurfaced group in primary TKA.
Materials and Methods: This prospective obsevational study was initiated in May 2016 conducted till April 2008 (2 years) in Yashoda Superspeciality Hospital, Hyderabad. At least 14 mm of patella was ensured to be retained after patellar cut. A total of 40 patients were allocated to receive (n=20) or not to receive patellar resurfacing (n=20) during primary TKA. The data was analyzed statistically using the Student t test. Overall patient satisfaction was recorded using the SF-36 score.
Results: Of the 40 patients, 67.5% females and 32.5 % males underwent TKA. Among those who underwent resurfacement, 40% were males. 75% among the non-resurfaced group were females. Right knee was operated on 37.5% of cases. Mean operative time being 103.9 and 122.5 minutes in nonresurfaced and resurfaced cases respectively. Mean patellar thickness was 22.1mm in nonresurfaced and 23.6mm in resurfaced group. The difference in VAS score, modified HSS score, KSS scores between the two groups were statistically insignificant with p-values of 0.230, 0.0214, 0.2513 respectively at the end of two year,
but there was significant reduction of anterior knee pain in the resurfaced with p-value < 0> Conclusion: The functional outcome was not affected by whether the patella was resurfaced or nonresurfaced. There was no significant difference between the two groups with respect to the prevalence of knee-related readmission, or of subsequent patella-related surgery or patients overall satisfaction. We recommend selective patellar resurfacing at the time of primary total knee replacement.

impacted maxillary canines is more in females than males and it is statistically significant. The overall prevalence for
maxillary impacted canines was found to be 3,7 % (N=2200) which suggested that it is much higher than previous studies.
The results of this study were slightly different than other studies, while the dissimilarities may be attributed to the sample
selection, method of the study and area of patient selection, which suggest racial and genetic differences.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the application of artificial tiger bone powder on fracture healing time, wrist functional recovery and quality of life (QOL) in elderly patients with distal radius fracture. Methods: The study was a randomised controlled trials performed from January 2015 to December 2016 in a hospital. Elderly patients with distal radius fracture were divided into the treatment and the control groups by the random sealed envelope method. All patients were given splint or plaster fixation after manipulative reduction, and functional exercise, the treatment group was also given artificial tiger bone powder orally (trade name: Jintiange capsule), the control group was given an oral placebo in their appearance and usage identical with the treatment group. Prior to treatment and 6, 12 months after treatment, the wrist function was assessed by range of motion, including flexion-extension, radial-ulnar and pronation-supination, and the QOL was assessed by the Mos 36-item Short Form Health Survey. Each patient's fracture healing time was recorded. Results: Before treatment, there were no significant differences in wrist function and QOL between the two groups. At 6 and 12 months after treatment, the wrist function and QOL in the treatment group were better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The fracture healing time in the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The early usage of artificial tiger bone powder for elderly patients with distal radius fracture can promote the healing of fracture, recovery of wrist joint function, and ultimately improve the QOL for elderly patients.
In 1989, Shetty and Freymiller [7] reviewed indications for removal of teeth in the line of fracture. They recommended the following indications:
1. Significant periodontal disease with gross mobility and periapical pathology
2. Partially erupted third molars with pericoronitis or cystic areas
3. Teeth preventing the reduction of fractures
4. Teeth with fractured roots
5. Teeth with exposed root apices or teeth in which the entire root surface from the apex to the gingival margin is exposed
6. Excessive delay from the time of fracture to the time of definitive treatment
In addition to these indications, another indication that requires extraction of teeth in the line of fracture is an acute, recurring abscess at the site of the fracture despite antibiotic therapy(8)

Agenesis, the absence of permanent teeth, is a common occurrence among dental patients. The total incidence of tooth agenesis is about 4.2% among patients that are seeking orthodontic treatment and with the exception of third molars, the maxillary lateral incisors are the most common congenitally missing teeth with about a 2% incidence. The maxillary lateral incisor is the second most common congenitally absent tooth. There are several treatment options for replacing the missing maxillary lateral incisor, including canine substitution, tooth-supported restoration, or single-tooth implant. Dental implants are an appropriate treatment option for replacing missing maxillary lateral incisor teeth in adolescents when their dental and skeletal development is complete. This case report presents the treatment of a patient with congenitally missing maxillary lateral incisor using dental implants. The paper discusses the aspects of pre-prosthetic orthodontic diagnosis and the treatment that needs to be considered with conservative and fixed prosthetic replacement.

placed in the anterior areas had a higher implant stability quotient than the ones places in the posterior
areas of the arch.

Healing of Periapical Bone Lesion After Periradicular Surgery And Graft Place...QUESTJOURNAL
Objectives: 1.To clinically evaluate the healing process following periapical surgery with Chitra granules 2.To radiographically evaluate healing, following periapical surgery with Chitra granules. 3.To compare the bone healing in the study group, clinically and radiographically following the modalities of treatment, with that of the control group (without graft). Materials: 1.Chitra hydroxyapatite granules. 2. Gutta-percha — for root canal obturation by lateral condensation. 3. High Copper amalgam used as retrofilling materials. To evaluate healing after periapical surgery using Chitra granules, 22 patients were selected from out patient section of Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Govt. Dental College, Kozhikode,based on clinical and radiographical evaluation. The study group consisted of 13 males and 9 females. All were of the age group 15-35 years. After selection they were randomly divided into two groups A and B. In group A the Chitra granule were placed in the bony defect and in group B the defect were left as such after surgery. Results: Clinical parameters showed better early symptom free condition in group A compared to group B. But data found statistically insignificant (t-7.27,df-1.8, P >0.05). Radiographical evaluation data analysis showed statistically significant difference among group A and group B. Conclusion: Biocompatible Chitra granule not only obliterates the cavity but act as a scaffold for bone growth and prevent scar tissue formation.It is osteoconductive. In comparison to the conventional periapical surgery, the placement of Chitra granules facilitates bone regeneration more easily. The material is found to be very cost effective, easily available, easy to manipulate and involves least complication to both clinicians and patients.

Deep Behavioral Phenotyping in Systems Neuroscience for Functional Atlasing a...Ana Luísa Pinho
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) provides means to characterize brain activations in response to behavior. However, cognitive neuroscience has been limited to group-level effects referring to the performance of specific tasks. To obtain the functional profile of elementary cognitive mechanisms, the combination of brain responses to many tasks is required. Yet, to date, both structural atlases and parcellation-based activations do not fully account for cognitive function and still present several limitations. Further, they do not adapt overall to individual characteristics. In this talk, I will give an account of deep-behavioral phenotyping strategies, namely data-driven methods in large task-fMRI datasets, to optimize functional brain-data collection and improve inference of effects-of-interest related to mental processes. Key to this approach is the employment of fast multi-functional paradigms rich on features that can be well parametrized and, consequently, facilitate the creation of psycho-physiological constructs to be modelled with imaging data. Particular emphasis will be given to music stimuli when studying high-order cognitive mechanisms, due to their ecological nature and quality to enable complex behavior compounded by discrete entities. I will also discuss how deep-behavioral phenotyping and individualized models applied to neuroimaging data can better account for the subject-specific organization of domain-general cognitive systems in the human brain. Finally, the accumulation of functional brain signatures brings the possibility to clarify relationships among tasks and create a univocal link between brain systems and mental functions through: (1) the development of ontologies proposing an organization of cognitive processes; and (2) brain-network taxonomies describing functional specialization. To this end, tools to improve commensurability in cognitive science are necessary, such as public repositories, ontology-based platforms and automated meta-analysis tools. I will thus discuss some brain-atlasing resources currently under development, and their applicability in cognitive as well as clinical neuroscience.

Since volcanic activity was first discovered on Io from Voyager images in 1979, changes
on Io’s surface have been monitored from both spacecraft and ground-based telescopes.
Here, we present the highest spatial resolution images of Io ever obtained from a groundbased telescope. These images, acquired by the SHARK-VIS instrument on the Large
Binocular Telescope, show evidence of a major resurfacing event on Io’s trailing hemisphere. When compared to the most recent spacecraft images, the SHARK-VIS images
show that a plume deposit from a powerful eruption at Pillan Patera has covered part
of the long-lived Pele plume deposit. Although this type of resurfacing event may be common on Io, few have been detected due to the rarity of spacecraft visits and the previously low spatial resolution available from Earth-based telescopes. The SHARK-VIS instrument ushers in a new era of high resolution imaging of Io’s surface using adaptive
optics at visible wavelengths.

Since the loophole-free Bell experiments of 2020 and the Nobel prizes in physics of 2022, critics of Bell's work have retreated to the fortress of super-determinism. Now, super-determinism is a derogatory word - it just means "determinism". Palmer, Hance and Hossenfelder argue that quantum mechanics and determinism are not incompatible, using a sophisticated mathematical construction based on a subtle thinning of allowed states and measurements in quantum mechanics, such that what is left appears to make Bell's argument fail, without altering the empirical predictions of quantum mechanics. I think however that it is a smoke screen, and the slogan "lost in math" comes to my mind. I will discuss some other recent disproofs of Bell's theorem using the language of causality based on causal graphs. Causal thinking is also central to law and justice. I will mention surprising connections to my work on serial killer nurse cases, in particular the Dutch case of Lucia de Berk and the current UK case of Lucy Letby.

3. Abstract
Implant stability plays a critical role for successful
osseointegration, which has been viewed as a direct structural
and functional connection existing between bone and the
surface of a load-carrying implant. Achievement and
maintenance of implant stability are prerequisites for successful
clinical Outcome. Therefore, measuring the implant stability is
an important method for evaluating the success of an implant.
The aim of this clinical study was to measure the implant
stability quotient using a method called resonance frequency
analysis of dental implants during the healing period.
Material and methods: A number of 43 patients received 152
Shark AL-Technology implant system either in the maxillary or in
the mandibular arch. Implant stability was measured with an
Osstell Mentor device (Osstel, AB, Sweden) using the resonance
frequency analysis at the time of implant placement, 0, 2, 4, 8
and 12 weeks post insertion.
