Action Contre la Faim (ACF) is an international humanitarian organization seeking a Logistics Officer based in Yangon, Myanmar. The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing ACF's mission equipment, supporting logistics teams during times of high activity or staff absence, and assisting the Head of Logistics. Qualified candidates should have a diploma in logistics with 2-3 years of experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage information and products. ACTION CONTRE LA FAIM (ACF) is an International Non-Governmental Organisation (I.N.G.O.) that is
charitable, impartial, non-political and non-profit, currently implementing humanitarian programs in
45 countries with head offices in Paris, New York, London, Madrid and Montreal. Dedicated to emergency,
post-emergency and relief assistance, ACF is specialised in the fields of Nutrition, Food Security &
Livelihoods, Water/Sanitation and Health. Since 1994, ACF-Myanmar has been providing assistance to
vulnerable populations in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
As an international humanitarian organization involved in emergency programs all ACF staff have to be
available at anytime in order to respond to any emergency work, should the need arise.
We are seeking:
LOGISTICS OFFICER
Job Location: YANGON (with frequent Travel to other Bases)
Number of position: 1
Duration of the contract: permanent
Starting date: February 2016
Duties and responsibilities
Objective 1: Ensure Management of Mission Equipment
- Create equipment code for new equipment , register in equipment list and send to base logisticians
- Create equipment ID cards for new equipment and archive in equipment file
- Update the mission equipment List
- Check the equipment List from bases and update the mission equipment list
- Check the physical condition of equipment
- Ensure all the repair cards, ID cards , transfer request , purchase documents are well archived in
mission equipment file
Objective 2: Support the Log Teams to achieve objectives when key staffs are absent or in time of
high activity level
- Support the logisticians at the start of new programs (definition of the logistic needs)
- Support the logisticians in their action plan: help them to follow up their activities and to report the
progress
- Replace logistics staffs when needed ( purchaser , Logistics data entry , supply chain officer or deputy
base logistician )
- Collect the specific quotations according to instruction from Logistics HOD or Deputy Logistics HOD
- Manage the Updating of fleet registration in capital
- Manage the major repair and maintenance of fleet in capital
- Participate in stock inventory checking
- Manage the archive in YGN warehouse
Objective 3 : Assist the HoD Logistics and Deputy Log HOD
- Compile the monthly reports from bases and capital
- Perform any other tasks given by Logistics HOD or Deputy logistics HOD
1) DEGREE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Diploma in any Major subject, Two or three years experiences in Logistics field
- Good Computer skills ( Microsoft words ,Excel )
- Diplomacy, Rigour , Experience in supervising a team,
- Capacity to manage large quantities of products and information, Resourcefulness,Dynamic
- Flexibility, Good organizational capacity, Autonomous,Honesty and openness,mRelational qualities
- Good Knowledge in local languages/area and English
