MIRCaM provides real time analysis and generate instant alarms on episode detection, thus enhancing patient care and safety. It gives new possibilities for monitoring of vital parameters with wearable biomedical sensors, and will give the patient the freedom to be mobile and still be under continuous monitoring and thereby offer better quality of patient care.
MIRCaM is intended for detecting cardiac arrhythmias, myocardial ischemia and Infarctions and it can also be used to follow up critical patients from their home while they are carrying out daily activities. MIRCaM has the ability to detect a number of heart problems that do not show up during standard electrocardiography tests or during a stress test. Because it involves continuous monitoring, it is also particularly useful in detecting conditions that occur sporadically, such as during sleep or at times of emotional or physical stress.

Discussion Assignment Instructions
Instructions
The student will complete 4 Discussions in this course.
As you read the chapters assigned to each week, you will find some concepts more interesting and applicable to your personal or work situation than others. Review the key terms listed in the assigned chapters; then, choose a key term that you wish to write on for your thread.
Include the exact key term you selected in your thread’s subject line.
Thread (600 words minimum)
After you have successfully chosen the key term that interests you the most, research a minimum of 5 recent international business/management articles that relate to the concept on which you wish to focus your research. Articles must be found in reputable professional and/or scholarly journals and/or business/trade journals that deal with the content of the course (i.e., not blogs, Wikipedia, newspapers, etc.). After reading the articles, select the 1 article that you wish to discuss.
It is highly recommended that you use Liberty University’s Jerry Falwell Library online resources. A link is provided in the Discussion Assignment Resources. A librarian is available to assist you in all matters pertaining to conducting your research, including what constitutes a scholarly article.
Your thread must be placed in the Discussion textbox and adhere precisely to the following headings and format:
1. Key Termand Why You Are Interested in It (100 words minimum)
After reading the textbook, specifically state why you are interested in conducting further research on this key term (e.g., academic curiosity, application to a current issue related to employment, or any other professional rationale). Include a substantive reason, not simply a phrase.
2. Explanation of the Key Term(100 words minimum)
Provide a clear and concise overview of the essentials relevant to understanding this key term.
3. Major Article Summary(200 words minimum)
Using your own words, provide a clear and concise summary of the article, including the major points and conclusions.
4. Discussion
In your own words, discuss each of the following points:
a. How the cited work relates to your above explanation AND how it relates specifically to the content of the assigned module. This part of your thread provides evidence that you have extended your understanding of this key term beyond the textbook readings. (100 words minimum)
b. How the cited work relates to the other 4 works you researched. This part of your thread provides evidence that you have refined your research key term to a coherent and specialized aspect of the key term, rather than a random selection of works on the key term. The idea here is to prove that you have focused your research and that all works cited are related in some manner to each other rather than simply a collection of the first 5 results from your Internet search. (100 words minimum)
5. References
A minimum of 3 recent articles (as described above), in current APA format, must be ...

SHORT TITLE OF PAPER 6
Full Title of Paper
Student Name
PSY2050 History and Systems of Psychology
Abstract
The abstract is on a page of its own after the title page. It is a brief summary of the content of your paper (typically 100-250). The word abstract at the top of the page is not bold since it is not a heading within the paper.
Full Title of Paper
This is the first page of the body of your paper. The full title of your paper is repeated at the top of the page. Like with the abstract, the title at the top of the page is not bold since it is not considered a heading within the paper. You will see below that headings within the paper are in bold and follow the heading styles required by the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.; American Psychological Association, 2009).
This first section of your paper is the introduction of your paper. It is not labeled separately. It introduces the topic of your paper and the points you intend to make. Why is this topic important to psychology? This section also introduces how your paper will be organized, such as stating that you will review the historical background of the topic and then follow it with an overview of related current trends and discussion.
To summarize the introduction needs to be one to two pages in length. The introduction provides a brief overview of what will be covered and the purpose of the research paper.
Literature Review
This is the beginning of your literature review. Keep in mind, the literature review is not just a summary of each individual article. It is also a critical analysis of your topic supported by information you learned when reading the background literature. Your APA formatted citations for the sources of the information you are discussing is your indication of the literature reviewed.
This section will give an overview of the history of your topic and the theories being covered. It will discuss where the theories came from and how they have evolved over time. Depending on your topic, it may include comparisons and contrasts between the historical theories you are covering.
To summarize the literature review is taken in part from what you wrote in Week 3 Assignment 2. It should include at the very minimum the 6 articles that you found for that assignment. The literature review is not a copy of that material. Rather, it is a synthesis of the material you found into a cohesive review of the literature on your chosen topic.
Subheading 1 Example
Depending on your topic, you may find it necessary to use subheadings within sections of your document. For example, if you are comparing and contrasting Western and Eastern theories, you may have a subheading for Western Theories (and would change the example of a subheading above to reflect the topic of the subheading) and one for Eastern Theories.
Subheading 2 Example
Only use subheadings if you have more than one area you want to distinguish ...

MODULE 1 CASE ASSIGNMENT
Managing Individual Behavior
Assignment Overview
The cases in this class follow an experiential approach. This means you will reflect on your own experience in an organization and then apply the concepts from the module materials to
think critically
about these experiences and understand them better. The structure of the course and the assignments follow Kolb’s model of the adult learning process, which is discussed on the
Module 1 Home page
. [If you skipped the Module 1--Home page, you should read it now before you attempt to go any further.]
Case Assignment
Think about an experience you have had where you felt extremely motivated. Then, in a 4- to 6-page paper, analyze this experience according to the Kolb format below. Each subtitle represents a different section of the paper. You can use the subtitles as headings.
Introduction:
Discuss the topic of the paper and how you will approach it. It is best to write this section after you have written the rest of the paper.
Concrete Experience:
Begin with a specific situation/event. Describe the experience where you felt extremely motivated. Be objective and focus on just the facts: who, what, where, when, and how – similar to how a newspaper article is written -- as if you were composing a newspaper article.
Reflective Observation:
Reflect upon that experience from the multiple perspectives of other people involved or affected in the experience. Step back from the situation, look at the experience from your own viewpoint,
and
the viewpoints of all other parties involved or affected. You want to look at the circumstances surrounding the experience from every relevant perspective. Why was the experience motivating to you? What did others do that increased your motivation? Was the situation (or would the situation) also be motivating to others? (Note: Your discussion of theories and models from your module materials belongs in the following section.)
Abstract Conceptualization:
Use critical thinking skills in order to understand and interpret the experience at a deeper, more generalizable level. Interpret and understand the events you have described by drawing on the concepts, theories, and models in the background material from this module. What behavior patterns can you identify in yourself and others that are similar to the ones described in the material on motivation, values, and/or goals? How do these concepts and principles explain
why
you were motivated? What general principles of motivation can you derive from this analysis? Be sure to cite all references to concepts, ideas, and quotes you use that come from any outside source. Be sure to apply
at least
three concepts, theories, and/or models and cite all references to concepts, ideas, and/or quotes that you use from any outside source.

Before you begin Step One, please consult the complete
instructions for the Final Paper which can be found in Week
Five of your online course or in the “Components of Course
Evaluation” section of this guide.
The outline of the Final Paper:
1. Must be two to three double-spaced pages in length, and
formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford
Writing Center.
2. Must include a title page with the following:
a. Title of paper
b. Student’s name
c. Course name and number
d. Instructor’s name
e. Date submitted
3. Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a
succinct thesis statement and which you define all concepts
that will be discussed in the Final Paper.
4. Must use at least five scholarly and peer-reviewed sources,
retrieved from either the Ashford Online Library.
5. Must make a brief summary of each article (including the
purpose of the investigation, its methodology and results).
6. Must order the articles in the way you think you will
discuss them in your paper, and review the available sources
5. in an organized manner. Namely, just do not list each one
separately, but try to see how they relate to each other.
7. Must end your review of the literature with a paragraph
devoted to your thoughts about the strengths and
weaknesses of the available evidence.
8. Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the
Ashford Writing Center.
9. Must include a separate reference page, formatted
according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing
Center.
