To this end, you will put together an annotated bibliography in preparation for Assignment 3. In addition to the primary text (Whistling Vivaldi) the bibliography will include three types of textual information: 1) a mainstream news/ magazine article, 2) a scholarly/academic “peer reviewed” article, and 3) a web-based multimedia or blog-style article.
Format: Your annotated bibliographies must paragraphs must contain a topic sentence, clear evidence from the reading, and coherent sentences on a topic. It will use transitions affectively to cohere the overall piece together. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

ENGL 102-01 Summer 2019 Annotated Bibliography Research Assignment We will be creating an annotated bibliography in this class for the social justice research topic you selected during the first week of the semester. The first step of this is to find sources that are directly relevant to your topic and narrow down on a research question. In order to earn a B on this assignment, you must complete all of the following tasks: 1. Write a detailed description on your topic and what you hope to learn/discover from your research. This should be about 300 words long. 2. Create a list of 3 possible research questions. Rank these (which one is your #1 choice?) a. Think about what problem you want solved. Refer to the assigned reading in Chapter 6 for help with this. 3. Find ten credible sources for your topic. Before selecting them, read the abstract/skim to make sure it is actually relevant to your topic. a. You must have two sources that oppose your view point. b. You must have at least 4 different types of sources (books, articles, newspaper, websites, etc.) 4. Create an MLA Works Cited entry for each source (these should be in alphabetical order). 5. Write a brief (1-2 sentence) description of each source. This is mostly for you. It should be just enough so that you remember why you selected that source. 6. Compile your description and Works Cited entries on a single, MLA formatted document. 7. Upload to BBLearn by Sunday, June 23rd at 11:59 PM.
