EQuiPPE is an ERASMUS+ funded project designed to enhance the quality of P.E. in primary schools. Many primary teachers in Europe do not have specialist training in the delivery of physical education (P.E.). This has potentially negative implications for professional practice and young children’͛s health and physical activity habits. This infographic describes the project and what it provides.

About
Physical literacy is the foundation of physical education. It is not a
programme, but an outcome of any structured physical education
provision, which is achieved more readily if learners encounter a
range of age and stage appropriate opportunities.
Quality in primary Physical Education (QPPE) should enable children
and young people to become physically literate, and the provision to
be physically active should feature from the early years through the
entire school journey.
EQuiPPE provides free resources to support primary teachers.
The website provides a gateway through which to access information and
resources that help teachers appreciate the role of P.E. in developing the
skills required for success in the 21st Century.
EQuiPPE encourages teachers to think about physical literacy as a means of
increasing pupil's motivation, confidence and responsibility for
engagement in lifelong physical activity.

EQuiPPE aims to enable teachers of Physical Education to raise
standards by providing information and exemplars to improve rates
of attainment and achievement in physical education
The innovative characteristic of the EQuiPPE project is the
development of resources for non-specialist primary teachers of
physical education. The website provides access to resources to
help plan, deliver and assess physical education.
It also provides information and resources including academic
papers and links to other useful resources.
Enhancing Quality in Primary Physical Education
The EQuiPPE resources aim to increase generalist teachers'
confidence to deliver P.E. sessions. The resources will help pupils
develop fundamental movement skills, become increasingly
competent and confident access a broad range of movements
including running, jumping, throwing. A wide variety of scenarios
include gymnastics, outdoor and adventurous activity, dance and
games.
