line states, Futile the winds , futile meaning pointless. The narrator is stating that no
matter how hard the winds blow, or how rough the seas get, her love is strong and she

a setting of a lovers embrace. Every woman desires to be sought after and longed for.
The narrator is no longer searching for love, because she has found love, therefore
her heart is in port or it is docked. The narrator talks about how she is done with the
compass and with the chart in the last two lines. She is giving up all control for
this person, she is free to love and to be loved. She does not need a compass or a
chart because she is not looking for anything anymore. She has found her love and

when there are so many obvious reasons why you should not smoke. The main
audience being targeted in this article is those who already smoke and those who are

the claim being made by the author (McFadden). Hold on now! Let s be clear: The
Surgeon General has indeed determined that smoking is dangerous to your health
(Brimelow 141). He clearly points out here that yes, smoking is not good for you,
and can cause serious health problems. However, this sentence contradicts his main
claim in this article, which is to try to convince the audience there are enough pros to
possibly outweigh the cons of smoking. After reading this article, I struggle to find

The coding that was used to find information on commissions paid to employees was:

The asterisk next to employees indicates that all the information under the employee
table was used to generate the search. In this query information was pulled from the
employee and invoice tables. The WHERE function more specifically states the
department which can be changed and it would generate new information. The query
currently only shows employee commission information for employees who work in
department two (see attachment).
If the finance department wanted to find the total compensation paid to each
employee in the same month as the first query a slightly different query would be run
to generate that information. The first code simply pulled the information and did not
include and computation because the finance department only requested to be able to
determine as in pull up the record for employee s commission paid. The second code
will include computation which will divide the yearly salary by twelve months then
multiples the commission rate by the total amount of product sold and lastly add
those two numbers together to get the total compensation for that month.

death. Statistics show the seriousness of the situation. According to W.H.O. (World
Health Organization) and C.D.C. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), over
800,000 people die by suicide every year with 42,773 being Americans. The National
Alliance on Mental Illness says the leading cause of people committing suicideis
untreated depression, but only half of all Americans experiencing an episode of
major depression receive treatment ( Causes ). The most successful treatment today
for depression is therapy and/or prescript ed medication. The other common causes of
suicide are other mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum

conflict happening at the same time, we as a military would not have the personnel

and the first types of concrete. (Mahoney, 2001) The last of all the factors was
religion. The Romans worshiped around 30,000 gods in all. These included the
major gods and goddesses such as Jupiter, the chief god, Neptune, god of the sea,
Venus, goddess of love and beauty, and Minerva, goddess of wisdom and war.
Each household also worshipped their own protective spirits. After Caesar s death,
the emperors were considered gods too. People all over the empire were allowed
to worship their own local gods as long as they paid homage to the Roman gods.
The people built large temples for worship of their different gods. They looked to
the gods to help protect their families and lives. This also helped when going into
