realize the need for its active participation in the fields of trade
and industry. As hindus were dominating them in industry
trade and commerce field. And a rumor was popularly and
had a wrongly believed that muslims were temperamentally

“Muslims could not be successful bankers”. He decided to
step-up to that challenge and take the lead of establishing
the first Muslim bank by the name Australasia Bank
Limited in Punjab, which was to become Pakistan in
December 1942 and LATER ON Sarhad Bank Ltd, Lahore
Commercial Bank Ltd and Pak Bank Ltd were merged.
