• 1976 witnessed the establishment of major entity named Acceto
Chem Pvt. Ltd.
• The company started manufacturing and marketing of dyes
intermediates for food colour and textiles.
• The company has since consolidated its position a major
entity. Under the charismatic leadership of Mr. Jitendra P. Parmar
and Mr Bansilal D. Patel, the company has become a strong force
to reckon with.
• We started our exports in 1980 & Currently, we are exporting our
products to various European countries besides USA, Argentina,
Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc
 Sulfuric Acid (98%):-
It has a strong acidic nature and is corrosive.
Sulfuric acid in our company stored in flat bottom vertical cylindrical vessel
 Nitric Acid (72%):-
Nitric Acid is a strong acid with chemical formula HNO3.
Nitric acid in our company stored in flat bottom vertical cylindrical vessel.
 Sulphur Dioxide (SO2 ):-
Sulphur dioxide is a colourless gas with a pungent odour.
It is a liquid when under pressure, and it dissolves in water very easily.
 The reaction of sulphuric acid( 98%) and nitric acid(72%)
produced Nitrosyl sulfuric acid in the presence of sulphur
dioxide gas.

Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid:-
Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid is the chemical compound with
the formula HNO5S.It is the raw material of dye.
 Properties:-
1. Chemical formula – HNO5S
2. Molar mass – 127.08 g/mol
3. Appearance – Pale yellow crystals
4. Density – 1.865g/ml in 40% sulfuric acid
5. Melting point – 70°C (128F, 343k)
6. Odour – Pungent
7. Solubility – Soluble in H2SO4
8. pH - < 2
 There are many uses of Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid. Some of them are mention
below:-
 The most common use of NSA is making dyes.
 NSA is use for a diazotization.
 NSA is also taken part in nitrosation process.
 It is also taking in use of oxidation reaction.
 Below we mention equipment list which are used in our plant and also
described their functions in our plant.
 Mixing Vessel:- Main purpose of the mixing tank is to mix the two or
more immiscible phase. In our plant for the production of NSA first in
mixing vessel we mix the Nitric Acid and Sulfuric Acid.
 CSTR:-The main purpose of the CSTR is the give sufficient mixing
between the reactant and contact time to reaction occur.
 Vaporizer:-This equipment convert the any liquid material into the
gaseous phase (In NSA plant vaporizer convert liquid SO2 into SO2 gas.
 Scrubber:-Mainly two types of scrubber in our plant.
1)Acidic Scrubber:-Remove the basic toxic gases from the
waste gas.
2)Caustic Scrubber:- Remove the acidic toxic gases from the
waste gas
 Blower:-If in case of gas form during the reaction not able to move
outside reactor. Blower provide the pressure energy help to remove the
remaining gas from the reactor.
 Cooling Tower:-In NSA plant they use a induced Draft Cooling tower
and using these they cool the hot water which they get from the
vaporizer and jacket of the reactor.
 Pump:- Pump mainly use for transferring a liquid from bottom level to
top. In plant Pump is use for transferring liquid in reactor jacket and
from bottom of the plant to the top of the cooling tower.

X = A+B
X = 3000kg + 6000kg

 For Reactor :-
Y = C+X
Y = 2400kg + 9000kg
Y = 11400kg
 Z(By pass line) = Recovery mix + caustic solution
Z = 150kg + 100 kg
Z = 250kg
 Product (NSA) = 11400 - Z
= 11400 – 250
= 11150kg

 Mixing is a unit operation in which a uniform mixture is obtained
from two or more components by dispersing one within the other.
Hence it is process which involves manipulating a heterogeneous
physical system,with the intent to make it more homogeneous. It
has wide applications in many industries food processing,
pharmaceutical, mining etc. The larger components called as the
continuous phase and smaller component called as the dispersed
phase. This process is generally used in food processing to
combine different parts of material.
 Types of mixing:-
1. Solid mixing :
2. Liquid mixing : In our industry we used this type of mixing.
1. Type of cooling tower : Induced draft cooling tower
2. Number of cooling tower used : 2
3. Installation location : Roof top of the plant
4. Temperature: 25-30
5. Flow rate : 120 lt/he
6. Fan diameter : 1900mm
7. Motor : 10 HP

  • 3. • 1976 witnessed the establishment of major entity named Acceto Chem Pvt. Ltd. • The company started manufacturing and marketing of dyes intermediates for food colour and textiles. • The company has since consolidated its position a major entity. Under the charismatic leadership of Mr. Jitendra P. Parmar and Mr Bansilal D. Patel, the company has become a strong force to reckon with. • We started our exports in 1980 & Currently, we are exporting our products to various European countries besides USA, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc
  • 4.  Sulfuric Acid (98%):- It has a strong acidic nature and is corrosive. Sulfuric acid in our company stored in flat bottom vertical cylindrical vessel  Nitric Acid (72%):- Nitric Acid is a strong acid with chemical formula HNO3. Nitric acid in our company stored in flat bottom vertical cylindrical vessel.  Sulphur Dioxide (SO2 ):- Sulphur dioxide is a colourless gas with a pungent odour. It is a liquid when under pressure, and it dissolves in water very easily.
  • 5.  The reaction of sulphuric acid( 98%) and nitric acid(72%) produced Nitrosyl sulfuric acid in the presence of sulphur dioxide gas. 2H2SO4 + HNO3  NO2 + 2HSO4 + H30 5NO2 + 2HSO4 + H30 + SO2  5HNO5S
  • 6. Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid:- Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid is the chemical compound with the formula HNO5S.It is the raw material of dye.  Properties:- 1. Chemical formula – HNO5S 2. Molar mass – 127.08 g/mol 3. Appearance – Pale yellow crystals 4. Density – 1.865g/ml in 40% sulfuric acid 5. Melting point – 70°C (128F, 343k) 6. Odour – Pungent 7. Solubility – Soluble in H2SO4 8. pH - < 2

  • 8.  There are many uses of Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid. Some of them are mention below:-  The most common use of NSA is making dyes.  NSA is use for a diazotization.  NSA is also taken part in nitrosation process.  It is also taking in use of oxidation reaction.
  • 9.  Below we mention equipment list which are used in our plant and also described their functions in our plant.  Mixing Vessel:- Main purpose of the mixing tank is to mix the two or more immiscible phase. In our plant for the production of NSA first in mixing vessel we mix the Nitric Acid and Sulfuric Acid.  CSTR:-The main purpose of the CSTR is the give sufficient mixing between the reactant and contact time to reaction occur.  Vaporizer:-This equipment convert the any liquid material into the gaseous phase (In NSA plant vaporizer convert liquid SO2 into SO2 gas.
  • 10.  Scrubber:-Mainly two types of scrubber in our plant. 1)Acidic Scrubber:-Remove the basic toxic gases from the waste gas. 2)Caustic Scrubber:- Remove the acidic toxic gases from the waste gas  Blower:-If in case of gas form during the reaction not able to move outside reactor. Blower provide the pressure energy help to remove the remaining gas from the reactor.  Cooling Tower:-In NSA plant they use a induced Draft Cooling tower and using these they cool the hot water which they get from the vaporizer and jacket of the reactor.  Pump:- Pump mainly use for transferring a liquid from bottom level to top. In plant Pump is use for transferring liquid in reactor jacket and from bottom of the plant to the top of the cooling tower.

  • 12.  For mixing tank :- X = A+B X = 3000kg + 6000kg X = 9000kg  For Reactor :- Y = C+X Y = 2400kg + 9000kg Y = 11400kg
  • 13.  Z(By pass line) = Recovery mix + caustic solution Z = 150kg + 100 kg Z = 250kg  Product (NSA) = 11400 - Z = 11400 – 250 = 11150kg

  • 15.  Mixing is a unit operation in which a uniform mixture is obtained from two or more components by dispersing one within the other. Hence it is process which involves manipulating a heterogeneous physical system,with the intent to make it more homogeneous. It has wide applications in many industries food processing, pharmaceutical, mining etc. The larger components called as the continuous phase and smaller component called as the dispersed phase. This process is generally used in food processing to combine different parts of material.  Types of mixing:- 1. Solid mixing : 2. Liquid mixing : In our industry we used this type of mixing.
