The ILSA industrial director explained how the company has always made the circular economy and biochemistry its core business. This has been done either developing own processes as well as participating in research projects such as greenLIFE which aims, among other goals, to studying the best recovery system of proteins from tanning industry by-products for agricultural use. With the occasion, Cavazza also presented the recent Biopol, another project that has obtained the backing of the European Commission for the realisation of biopolymers, tannery and grease products for the leather manufacturing process, derived from the reuse of agricultural and food industry waste instead of from crude oil synthesis.

Meta phenylenediamine 4 sulphonic acid (MPDSA) is one of the important products in the dyestuff sector. The present conventional manufacturing process for MPDSA being carried out at the industry is less efficient and gives an overall yield of about 60 %. But the use of alternative raw materials for the manufacture of MPDSA can give yield as high as upto 80%. In addition, this process also eliminates the use of metal catalysts which cause downstream problems. This method involves the use Metaphenylene Diamine as the raw material instead of 2, 4, dinitrochlorobenzene for the manufacture of MPDSA. A lab scale experiment has been carried out and the overall yield has been found to be higher than that obtained from the conventional process. This paper describes this new manufacturing process and its possible economic benefits. Overall yield is calculated and compared with the conventional process.

Chloroform desorption of Swiss blue dye from saturated activated carbon prepared from hamburger seed shell via microwave technique has been studied and the kinetics, isotherm and thermodynamic data determined. Initial solid loading concentrations of the activated carbon after saturation were 123.72mg/g, 248.58mg/g, 373.28mg/g, and 498.11mg/g using 100mg/l, 200mg/l, 300mg/l, and 400mg/l initial concentration of Swiss blue dye respectively. The kinetic data were fitted to first order, second order, pseudo first order, pseudo second intraparticle diffusion, and Elovich models. The data fitted pseudo second order perfectly due to the high correlation coefficient. The isotherm data was fitted to Langmuir, Freundlich, Dublin-Radushkevich (D-R), Temkin, Flory-Huggins, Redlich-Peterson and Toth models. The data fitted well to Freundlich model. Activation energy for desorption process was calculated at different initial solid phase concentration. Arrhenius relationship was developed to represent the rate constant dependency on temperature at different initial solid phase concentrations. Thermodynamic parameters calculated confirmed the process as endothermic, feasible and spontaneous. The process had increased disorder as temperature was increased.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid is the chemical compound with
the formula HNO5S.It is the raw material of dye.

8. There are many uses of Nitrosyl Sulfuric Acid. Some of them are mention
below:-
The most common use of NSA is making dyes.
NSA is use for a diazotization.
NSA is also taken part in nitrosation process.
It is also taking in use of oxidation reaction.
9. Below we mention equipment list which are used in our plant and also
described their functions in our plant.
Mixing Vessel:- Main purpose of the mixing tank is to mix the two or
more immiscible phase. In our plant for the production of NSA first in
mixing vessel we mix the Nitric Acid and Sulfuric Acid.
CSTR:-The main purpose of the CSTR is the give sufficient mixing
between the reactant and contact time to reaction occur.
Vaporizer:-This equipment convert the any liquid material into the
gaseous phase (In NSA plant vaporizer convert liquid SO2 into SO2 gas.
10. Scrubber:-Mainly two types of scrubber in our plant.
1)Acidic Scrubber:-Remove the basic toxic gases from the
waste gas.
2)Caustic Scrubber:- Remove the acidic toxic gases from the
waste gas
Blower:-If in case of gas form during the reaction not able to move
outside reactor. Blower provide the pressure energy help to remove the
remaining gas from the reactor.
Cooling Tower:-In NSA plant they use a induced Draft Cooling tower
and using these they cool the hot water which they get from the
vaporizer and jacket of the reactor.
Pump:- Pump mainly use for transferring a liquid from bottom level to
top. In plant Pump is use for transferring liquid in reactor jacket and
from bottom of the plant to the top of the cooling tower.
