Assessment and Accreditation of HEIs
of Chhattisgarh
Introduction:
 In 2020 only 36 Govt. HEIs were accredited by NAAC.
 Due to fear of accreditation process the the quality of curricular and
co-curricular and extra curricular activites were badly affected which
in turn affected the quality of the HEI.
 Objectives of the Assessment and Accreditation process in mission
mode:
a)To make the HEIs understand themselves in a holistic way.
b)To create awarensss about assessment and accreditation process and
its benefits.
c)To make the HEIs to shift the focus of education from teacher centric
to ‘student centric’.
d)To do the SWOC analysis of the HEIs to prepare the plan of action to
be implemented and executed.
e)To create a congenial and competitive atmosphere in the HEIs.

  • 2. Introduction:  In 2020 only 36 Govt. HEIs were accredited by NAAC.  Due to fear of accreditation process the the quality of curricular and co-curricular and extra curricular activites were badly affected which in turn affected the quality of the HEI.  Objectives of the Assessment and Accreditation process in mission mode: a)To make the HEIs understand themselves in a holistic way. b)To create awarensss about assessment and accreditation process and its benefits. c)To make the HEIs to shift the focus of education from teacher centric to ‘student centric’. d)To do the SWOC analysis of the HEIs to prepare the plan of action to be implemented and executed. e)To create a congenial and competitive atmosphere in the HEIs.
  • 3. Journey Towards Quality… Road Taken Towards Quality Assurance and Accreditation  Previously there was no such practice/mechanism prevailing in the department related to assessment and accreditation.
  • 5. TEAR THE FEAR: MAKE NAAC THE DEAR 05 NODAL COLLEGES (Division wise) Criteria wise Webinars were Organized for all HEIs of the Divisions Mentor-Mentee Scheme was introduced for hand-holding Help Desk was established for A&A related queries. Monthly Meeting was organised by the SHE/CHE. Personal Visit to the HEIs were undertaken by the Mentor Colleges and the Nodal Colleges to reach the unreached.
